I really want a kitty, but everything that is a living being and gets in my hands, eventually dies (except my hubby and my sweet V)(for obvious reasons). My plants, my fish, etc
I want a kitty, but I have no idea how to take care of it, how to train them or anything.
Please help, what should I do 1st?

I love my cats, all three of them, and they give me such comfort and joy! There isn't much to taking care of a cat, especially if you get one as a kitten. They will go to litter naturally, and if you are fortunate enough to live in a safe area where they can go outside when they're older, they will go outside too, as well as enjoy their outings in the fresh air. Spaying or neutering is a good idea when before they get to the stage of maturity where they are displaying their sexuality.
Just get some kitten food.
You'll love your pet.

Kittens are really beautiful but you have to get them a scratch board to avoid them from scratching the wall paper or the furniture. They are really sweet though and very loving. I would love to have another cat but my husband refuses because the last one we had cost us a fortune on vets. He must have had more than nine lives lol. I adopted him in the RSPCA when he was two and half years old and he felt at home instantly. He was a gorgeous taby cat. He was a really big cat too and everyone loved him. I had to have him put down a couple of months ago as his back legs where paralysed and he couldn't move. I hope you will enjoy having your kitten around you. You will get so much comfort from him or her!! I want a kitty I want a kitty I want a kitty

Hi Biplol,

I do hope you decide to get a sweet little kitty. I have two that are now eight and nine respectively. They are our babies now that the kids are grown and gone.
Although, our's don't do alot of playing, like they use to, (they would rather lay around and eat and sleep these days) they still give us so much joy.
Heck, my husband and I even take them with us when we go camping. We just put them in the motorhome and away we go.
Yes, your kitty will definitely need a scratching post as they love to sharpen their claws. That and a litter box and a few toys and you are set. Other than food, of course.
If you get one, you'll have to take a picture and let us see your new joy.
Good Luck
