i dont trust my doctor, ever since i read a post here in general "changes in uk mental health act" i am to scared to go to them for help..
i am falling down that slippery slope into the darkness at the moment , but going into hospital is the last thing i want to do, the thought of it scares me even worse then the idea of giving up to the dark ones.
i know i should go to see my doctor but i cant / wont, be put into hospital, it would be like deserting my family again.

I hope you can find a way to get the help you need.

dont worry so much the realme, i am sorry my post has made you feel like this, dont hold out in going to the doc if you need to,

i live in a mental health bed and blanket hostel, it is full of people with a lot of problems, we just got rid of a man who thought that fire extingishers were evil, the doc came to see him but because he was on a solid meds regime he could not section him, so i guess my point is go to the docs, get the meds and make yourself well

Sounds like a rock and a hard place. I'd go now while I'm more sure of myself and what I want and don't need the hospital yet to see what help I could get so I don't have to go into the hospital later, when I'm worse? Attitude has a lot to do with perception, both yours and the doctors I think; if you go see him like "normal" would be better than having to explain "avoiding" him? You can't know how an individual doctor is going to act by reading someting about a "group."

mellors you have no reason to be sorry, yesterday my wife made an appointment with my doctor for me (without me knowing), and i explained to her that i didnt want to see her, to which she asked why..
my reply was to ask her about the mental health act,
now i know that this law has been around for ages but there are three people who have to agree, before they can section anyone without their permission.
i was angry with my wife at first for making the appointment but now i can see she was worried.
i also had a meeting with a duty cpn yesterday, and they are going to give my more surport .
so please mellor dont be sorry, your post did help me
