My Mom is very sick. The Dr. said she has either had another heart attack or she is starting congestive heart failure. She was so sick she couldn't stand up and she is dehydrated. She is more stable tonight and I am very grateful for that. I may have to start stayin with her part of the time. We just don't know yet.

January I am so sorry. There is nothing as sad as your mother being ill. Please know that both she and you are in my thoughts.

Thank you both so much. She looked so frail and old today. We all took turns of sitting for 15 minutes and switched so no one got too tired because the ER was packed. Everytime my Mom got sick and couldn't make it to the bathroom, my poor neice was with her. Mom didn't want the nurses to clean her, she wanted my neice to do it. I felt so sorry for both of them. Then my neice and I had to go cleam Mom's house before we came home. Mom had not been able to get to the bathroom and was sick on the carpet. She was so humiliated. I had to change her clothes for her and clean her up before the ambulance arrived. My Mom is so strong. It all just hurt my heart. Hugs, Jan

awwww ((((((Jan)))))))))))) I'm so sorry. There is nothing worse than being sick at this time of year, for either the patient or the family. Not that it's ever a good time, but somehow it seems magnified at this time of year.

Mom has Congestive Heart Failure. They also told us there is some kidney damage, but we have no idea how much. She is in fair condition, and that is pushing it. They are tweaking her meds and trying to carefully analyze what she needs. She has the most amazing team of Drs and nurses. They are the best and are working hard to take great care of her. Hugs, Jan

I am just reading your post. Your Mom and you and your family have really had a scary and rough time recently.

Hi Jan,
I wanted to say I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Keep your chin up~I was in the hospital in June with Congestive Heart Failure for the second time this year. It was a matter of adjusting my meds and I am doing pretty good now. So, I am hoping your Mom has just as good of luck as I did. Thinking of you and Mom, Linda

Today they told us that Mom has bronchitis. They are starting her on antibiotics and breathing treatments. She was so sick, we couldn't tell.
I am to be at the hospital in the morning to talk to the heart Dr. Thanks to all of you for caring so much. Hugs, Jan
