okay.........this doesn't go in relationships

because we don't have one!!!

the bad dog neighbors came over and stole my two swans that were setting in the shrubbery at the back of my property.

i saw the swans on the street, waiting to be put in the garbage truck, and felt sorry for them and brought them home and made them a resting place by the creek. and i actually enjoyed looking back there and seeing them resting under the trees together. the cats played in them all the time.

how do i know those are my swans?........well, one of them has a crooked neck. they placed them in the side of their yard so that i would see them.

my friends want to steal them back. i'm not sure that i want to get anything more going with those people than i've already got on my plate. the neighbors want to organize a "swan-napping", at night, and get them and spray paint them and put them in my yard. one neighbor says he can straighten the neck.

my take on it is this.......they can't pay their rent. their utilities are turned off. do i want a group of smelly, mad people chasing me over two plastic swans? or do i just wait until they move out and leave the poor babies there and go get them then???????

go to the novelty ( 5 & 10 ) store purchase a plastic Easter Egg paint it Gold place under swan, excidedly tell them there the proud owners of the "Goose that laid a Golden Egg" then walk away laughing

Hmmmm...neighbor restraining order??? Well, if they hijacked your swans, wasn't that breaking the restraining order???

Anywho....If they are so desparate to have YOUR swans, it means they covet your swans and are jealous of you having swans.....so let them have their peace...as soon as you see them moving out.....swipe back your swans! LOL

Show them that "good" neighbors can share LOL

If it were me, I would leave the swans be. That's me, though.

I've been stolen from a few times and it wasn't "much", but my philosophy is, "If they can live with it, I can live without it." I then lay my head down and sleep well at night...

While we appreciate the fact that you love us enough to take us from our happy home to display us in your yard, please know that we miss our owners. If you don't take good care of us, we will walk back to our own home when you aren't looking!

You should have said "plastic swans" at the begining of your thread.......I only figured out at the end that you were talking about plastic swans and not real swans!

Well my first read had them putting the swans at the curb and then having second thoughts when they found that you had taken them but.. my prob.

Now... you know there is bound to be a yard sale a comin'.... and those birds might be on the docket. Also ... best be careful of what else you have left about the outdoors...

if you read all about Butch, the pitbull, that lived with (very loosely speaking here) them...then you know our history. it's really, really nasty. i had 24/7 police patrol for two weeks after the trial.the dog ordeal went on for about 8 months. i pray that they will move soon.............

i don't think they can read.(i did burst out laughing when i read that and i needed the laugh very much) otherwise, they wouldn't do a lot of the things they do.....being *****y here...but i've had it with them. they had to come totally over behind my fence to get my swans!!!!!

To be honest, I wouldn't stand for someone stealing something from me that I wanted back. When people break the law against me, I will report it. But that's me.

Do you have those automatic "heat sensor" lights.....whenever something or someone goes near the light source the light goes on....security light?

I wasn't going to post this, because I don't recommend doing it, for health reasons, legal reasons, and all that, plus it's just GROSS, but I'll share, for those who can see the humor (and again, I'm not suggesting it be done!): What if you could get some animal poop and put near the swans (it doesn't have to touch them), and if the neighbors say anything (I know they don't talk to you, Pat, but if they did), you can say, "What do you want me to do? Everybody poops!"

that would be funny if it were anyone else. but they kept four dogs and never cleaned up the poop.

i thought you were going to suggest the paper sack of burning dog poop on their front porch.

the woman is beyond the pale. so, i'm trying to take the "high road" and ignore them. we even built a really cool bamboo privacy fence.

it just pisses me off, to tell the truth........
