when i lived in town, a man would walk his dog and it would poop on my perfect grass. one day my big siamese beat the crap out of him (play on words there, pat) and that dog refused to do it again on my yard......his owner had always turned him off leash at my driveway.......and then Cornelius Brothers decided that it was going to stop and it did!!!!!

What is wrong with some people? Letting your dog poop on someone else's lawn (especially without picking it up) is just rude! Poop is an unpleasant fact of owning a pet (or having a baby). We even have our own poo to deal with.

Late-night talk show host, Spike Feresten, had a problem with a neighbor who would bring her dog in front of his gated driveway to do his business. See http://www.spikescrappyneighbor.com/ to see how he handled it.

It's too bad that such bad blood flows here. I just had another idea...hehehe

You could put a sign in your front yard saying "LOST 2 beloved swans." And have a big red arrow pointing to them in the neighbors yard.....ROFL

Or, you could go buy a bunch of swans and put them all over your yard with a sign that says "We're Looking for our mates...have you seen them???"

I could come up with other stuff too, but it's not very nice.

I'm with KimmyDawn on this: Let it go. You don't need anymore scruffing with this folks. You did the good deed in saving the dogs; this is irritating but I agree that they are just baiting you. If they are under a restraining order, keep a written record of the incident with information about the witnesses from neighborhood who know about the problem, just in case these neighbors ramp up their irritations.

i just posted in another thread that i might joke about them, but i am on constant alert. constant. and the police force stays updated on them by calling me and asking if i'm okay......i never relax my vigilance and i hope they move soon.

i have a friend, Robert, who dated my youngest for a long time. after his parents died, i sorta became his surrogate mom. since the dog thing, he has come around A LOT.

his presence has certainly stopped some of their behavior. he is physically imposing and it's apparent that he is very watchful towards my safety. did that make sense.

anyway, Robert is here a lot during the day (works at night) while i'm at work. i'm afraid they will try to hurt my animals, so it helps that he is here.

and by the way, he's building me a beautiful brick patio with bricks that someone gave him.

i want to believe that their behavior is a lot of posturing, etc. but i still watch them all of the time.......it helps that we have the same landlord as he is aware of all of this.

i have to handle most of my stress with humour and this thread has helped a lot........

thanks for your concern........xoxoxox pat

p.s. i forgot to tell you all that when we cleaned up the old dead tree behind the yard, we took the small branches, made bundles and used them to "build a coyote fence" inside my chainlink fence. it gives me much more privacy from them and i like it because it is very organic.

Hi, Pat,
I remember about the injured Pitbull, Butch, and how disturbing it was for you. I would just leave it alone since these people are dangerous and could be baiting you to enter their property!
The best thing to come of this is the creative humor and problem solving. Good to laugh!

Sabau, that is such a great suggestion! You may not like the publicity, Pat, and it would likely stir up more trouble than you want, but that's something that might get you on the local news! Still a funny idea, though.

Another suggestion with Wants' suggestion...take some photos of the swans in their yard, for extra proof.

I have read some of the suggestion people are giving to you and I am rolling on the floor laughing...I think laughter is the best medicine sometimes! Let them keep the swans for now...at least they can't abuse them! It is probably all they can take care of now! Hope you get them back when they move!!
