I will fight to stay sane... to stay patient... to stay strong for my family. Our family is in deep distress... Such a struggle to get our son into bed tonight! A very frightened daughter... I wish I could clone myself... Hubby find it very hard to deal with all this... He's at the end of the rope... so I can't afford to loose my grip...
I'm sooo drained though! How on earth will we be able to continue like this???!!! In need for some uplifting words.... please... In need for some uplifting words.... please...

Thank you so much, guys! You are really caring people... My son's still not asleep as it turned out... so I've just been lying in his room... hubby took over now.
The medication just doesn't work on him- makes him worse instead! We gave him concerta for two horrible weeks and then not for two weeks... The doc wanted us to try yet another week... and NO... this is not the right med for our son! He gets even more violent and hard to handle. I'll call to tell the doc that we won't try concerta any longer... because it's simply not working. We need to try another type of medication.
Kicked hubby in his stomach yesterday...pulled my hair today... threw a sandwich right in our daughter's face this evening.... threw a metal tin trying to hit his sister... and much more... Restraining, drawing and writing to explain (when he is a tiny bit calmer), talk calmly and trying to prevent him from hurting us or himself. I feel so for my poor daughter! Of course I feel for my son as well.
Hubby feel useless because he can't cope and hasn't got the patience needed...

I'm sorry to be whining like this... I don't know what else to do right now. Thank you... for reading and caring!

you are not whinning. sorry the concerta didnt work, hopefully doc will find a med that will help, i cant imagine what your son most be going through when this med didnt work, and if doc realy understands the damage that a confused and frustrated child child can do to the rest of the family,

(((hugs))) I understand trying meds that just don't work In need for some uplifting words.... please... I had some terrible issues because the doc didn't believe I was struggling and convinced me to stay on it longer... I WON'T do that ever again!

Have you tried the herbal route? I have trouble with synthetics, and also with fillers in generics. They can cause terrible reactions for me, so the pure herbs often help. (Sometimes they aren't as strong and I have to make sure I take enough. Talk to the professional in the health store, or find an MD who is homeopathic as well.

Do you pray out loud for your son, and your family...in front of him/family? Perhaps knowing God is involved will give calm and strength. In need for some uplifting words.... please...

Oh Sweety......such a hardship for all of you.

I agree with your decision on the meds though. If it makes the child worse and not better, then definitely stop it! My daughter had to do the same thing with my grandsons' meds on a couple of occasions.

I can only imagine the difficulties you are all going through. It breaks my heart to think of how a child can be so out of control and so ill.

Hold on tight Poetry.....we're here to help you get through it all! In need for some uplifting words.... please...

It's 10.43 pm, Pat. Thank you for being such a caring friend!

We're going to try to give him omega3...
Yes, we do pray... without our faith we would find it even harder to cope.

Poetrylover; how are you today? Better, I hope.

Don't you feel the day is coming
that will stay and remain
when your children see the answers
that you saw the same.

When the clouds have all gone
there will be no more rain
and the beauty of all things
is uncovered again.
