What more can I say than cute, adorable, sweet?! They really are lucky to be alive! And fortunate that you are there to help them! I would love to be in your position also. Thanks for people like you, Rhapsody!

I am sorry (and deeply sad) to report that Little Miss Mia took a turn for the worse around 2 am (losing entire control of her bodies mobility little by little) - she passed away eight hours later at 10:45 am.... she will be greatly missed and she will forever remain in the hearts of my husband and I.

We found "Little Mia" 3 weeks ago to the date...... she was now 6 weeks old.

We can NEVER again look at another Squirrel in the same way, and while Mia may have been small she touched us in a very big way... I am glad I took so many pictures.

How sad! Sorry to hear. {{{{{{{{{{{{{Rhapsody}}}}}}}}}}}}} Maybe she had an injury from the fall that couldn't be seen? I know how you have been working to keep them healthy and were looking forward to watching them grow and develop. It is very sad. I'm sure she was very happy and comfortable in your hands. I think she touched all of us here at PC through your stories and pictures. She will be missed. I was enjoying the updates. Hopefully things will continue to go well with her brother. I'll keep him and you in my prayers. Found Baby Squirrel(s)

Max is starting to look like a real squirrel now and he is hopping all over the furniture in the living room........ and he has finally gotten old enough (7 weeks) to break and eat his 1st acorn.

Max has really adjusted well.... he has taken to us like we are his own family and when ever he hears my voice he peeks out of his sleeping pouch to see me and when I open the cage door out he jumps right to me and then he crawls up to my should to take his place.

Plus - Max has just recently started to jump from furniture to furniture in the house and it is a hoot to watch him scurry about..... He is so Squirrelly in his actions. Found Baby Squirrel(s)

LOL - You would be amazed to how many people actually believe that to be true - even of an innocent little baby squirrel that has never been out of the nest.

im glad he got over it ok. my poor doggie i think still isnt over the death of his mother last july. he was never apart from her and now he howls whenever hes left alone. though of course he had her for 10 years rather than the few days/weeks max and mia were together.
have you read up anything on having squirrels as pets rhap? i would be worried about him not being as tame when he grows up? not sure why i have this notion squirrels dont make good pets when they re adults! hopefully its not the case cos it doesnt sound like you could get rid of him now if you tried. i mean the little guy has food, water and attention without even having to work for it. i could totally understand if he decided never to leave! lol.
