For the last few weeks it's been gone and just taking me to some bogus psych advertisement screen saying the domain name may be for sale.

This site was really helpful for me and really an invaluable resource for psychiatric meds from a patient's point of view.

Does anyone know what happened to it or if it is coming back?

I used to go there a fair bit, and recommended it to others -- I know he had problems with financing the site, not to mention his time, etc. I don't know what might have happened to it. I did check the URL and got the same results you did.

I also went to the crazymeds site for research & others opinions on different meds. In fact I think that is where I was first referred to psychcentral.

that's a shame, I sure hope he gets it back up, I just wish he left someway to contact him to help out or gave some warning; I could have printed out the whole site lol

I don't think he ever asked for donations but he could have if it meant saving the site

He asked for donations at the bottom of every page, or at least he used to. I hadn't been there in awhile.

really, for me it always had a link that went something like

care to help the site (no donations needed)

and it was visiting some other site or ad of some kind

are you sure you aren't getting that mixed up?

THANK YOU, at least one guy in there did post a webarchive to preserve the information

I'm not surprised at that amazing outpour of support, that site was invaluable for a lot of people, and it really adds a lot of credibility that the guy that runs it has mental problems of his own
