WW: I'm angry also. Seems to me that, in legal language, your husband did the best he could at the time to "mitigate the damage" that was occurring, all because the school had repeatedly refused to do its job of protecting your children.

I believe the will of the people is with you, even though the web of the law, in a strict sense, entangles you right now. With all the publicity given, I am hopeful that the outcome will be good.

It went okay today, they gave him 60 days to prove he is a worthy human. And heroin dealers get let off on personal recognicence. (sp) His last day of work is Friday and of course no one in power has looked at the affect on the kids, for the second time. He is well loved by kids and the peers who know him. Yet this marginalized population of special needs kids will get yet another loss and setback. Yes my friends I am angry. however, the man who is trying to get press for this says not to be angry, be factual. It is so hard. Since 1981 we have lived our lives in service to others. With love and compassion and valuing every soul. Hubby is taping the story and a friend will transcribe it. It is a confusing time. I went to a client's home today with a bird cage I spent $200 on a few years ago for ferretts and gave it to her, set it up and moved the love birds. A part of me thought that I know people who make money off from nothing and I constantly give things away. The me in this thought that this cage was a physical way to show my compassion and caring for a clinically depressed peer with a life time of abuse. So, brave little me caught the birds with gloves and moved them to a more suitable cage. Funny thing is I know nothing of birds but this was my ice breaker. Anyway, you guys are too much. i sincerely love you all and appreciate the support. I spent my life alone as a child and now that I am middle aged I feel not so alone. My deepest love to all.

all of our babies, and all of us deserve protection. I did not get it. I am trying to give it to my kids and have failed in some aspects. I do not agree that kids have to be adjusted to the crap in society. My kids know pain and they need protection and love. I know in my heart that we have done nothing wrong and yet I feel a deep down sense of shame and fear that we did not fit into the expectations of our society. If I had it to do over I would do differently, but right now I feel like "the establishment" is the powerful parent and we went against the parent so we must be beaten.

Reading your story reminds me of Ghandi. You're standing up for what you know is right, and just trying to protect your kids, and that brings you into conflict with "the establishment."

Just lost an entire post, hit the wrong key. Well, the criminal attorney who has been poised to sue the district for unlawful termination called hubby just now and says that the district's attorney is recommending to the super not to fire hubby. Hubby isn't convinced, he should know tomorrow. The attorney who is helping us with filing for a gubenatorial pardon and getting our story to the media is not a hand holder! He wants us to tell the story with facts and back it up so he can understand it and then passit on. I spent the session with T today talking about my confusion with this giant system of education that loses the kids in the sauce, she said I am not confused, I am ANGRY. Yes, she is right I suppose. I want to thank ALL of you for your support, compassion, generosity and friendship. You are helping me stay partially sane at least. I look forward to coming here and seeing everyone and being able to give my best as well as receive. Ahh, here I go tearing up again!

WW....the educational system is fraught with red tape. Teachers get caught in it...kids get caught in it. On the whole, it's not fair...I could rant about the problems with our schools forever...but I will spare you .

I think of you everyday as there is a child in my mom's class living in another district and attending their school. The school just found out and is in the process of sending them to the other school. The only difference is there is no abuse just problem children with no parental suppport. The teachers don't want the kids to leave as starting over will not help the kid any...but there is nothing they can do.

You can do this. Write it out first...include the anger...then go back and cut out the anger and hurt and leave the facts. If I can help, let me know.
