This weekend was the best weekend ever!!! Ok maybe not ever but it was the best we have had in a long while. Our kids have been gone since saturday morning... and they will be home today. ( went to Houston with my mother in law) So hubby and I had the whole weekend to ourselves.... Saturday night we went out to eat and had a blast... of course we are old and were in bed by 10:30... Sunday we loafed around on the couch, and then went to some friends house. Yesterday, he took me to the golf course with him...... I know I crossed the men only line...... all of the men on the course were looking at him like , look he had to bring his wife.... actually he didnt have to bring me, in fact he was like i would like for you to go golfing with me if you would like to.... i felt so honored.... that is like his sanctuary(sp) you know... then we went out to eat.
I hated to get up this morning and come to work, cause it meant that our wonderful weekend was coming to an end... We really needed that time to be with each other....... no fighting, no argueing, no pointing fings, not even any ugly words...... IT FELT WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to share....

Mel,

That is great. Getting "rid" of the kids for a few days works magic hubby and I. They are such a wonderful part of our lives but even us parents need a break every now and then. Spending time with our S.O. is so very important and I know that the two of you so deserve it.

I am thrilled that you and hubby had a blast.

Oh, I know about being in bed by 10:30 too. LMAO. Does that mean I am old too? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It's no problem being in bed early....(you didn't say you were sleeping.).....Keep on "stealing time" for yourselves...everyone needs that down time without obligations...at least every now and then....grace

If a weekend without the kids is great, imagine how wonderful it would be if you got rid of them altogether! hubby and I
