![]() ![]() A few days back I was having a really bad anger day and posted about it because I couldn't calm down. Nightbird, Capp and Pegasus answered me back and listed a whole lot of helpful tips. If you're interested it was posted under the General Mental Health Discussion Forum and was called "Bugging out for no reason" (on 4/19/09). ![]()

Please don't tell me that we had that conversation, 'Cause I won't remember, save your breath 'cause what's the use? Aahh, the night is calling, and it whispers to me softly, "Come and play". Aahh, I am falling, and if I let myself go I'm the only one to blame. I'm safe, up high, nothing can touch me, but why do I feel this party's over? No pain, inside, you're like perfection, but how do I feel this good sober?" (From the song "Sober", by Pink)

were you listening to music, watching tv, on the phone, reading a story... there is a source of every emotion we feel it's just like a an algebra problem...isolate the variables on one side & the constants on the other & solve... sounds easy & is on paper I know... now if I could just apply it to my own life.... ![]() Too many variables sometime ![]() |

Well I have been going through my woman monthly thing too. But I was mad because I took my little Mimi out to pee that morning and my sons big mutt tried to get her. Then my sister keeps avoiding me. And we got my son a happy meal and he left it laying in the floor and Mimi ate it. Then my slow dail up kept crashing. So i just went off and kicked my front door down

![]() It sounds like you had a lot of things that piled up that day. I would hate to be the door ![]() It's better to take anger out on objects that aren't breathing ![]() I once trashed my whole bedroom... including my wifes cario(spell?) cabinet...& broke my triangle candle holder ![]() I widh I wouldn't have done it...but when you reach that point ON OCCASSION it's healthier to let it out... Now if your going through a door a week I would worry ![]() |

I kinda read the other responses, but a little tired, so sorry if this has already been mentioned.
How about taking up an agressive (but controlled aggression) sport. Like kick boxing, Judo or something along those lines. Your anger should be let out, and if it has to be physical, then something like that might help. I wanted to also say I know how you feel, I have noticed a definate shift of my personality within the past couple of weeks. My anger has gone right up, when before I did get angry, but not at everyone and everything regardless of if they've actually done anything wrong. But I cannot express my anger physically, other than s/h behaviour, as I am too scared of that. |

(((big hug to you first)))))))))))))) Its so hard when all things pile up. You wonder is it fustration ...but you know its something. Remember the door is harder than your foot. ![]() If you can if you feel that happpening see if you can go for a walk. If your hubby is there to watch the kids. Sometimes just walking it off helps. Alittle trick i learned and used once LOL I was upset , yes me..... lol No one was in the room and I grabed the paper plates and threw them down. I know it sounds silly. But it hurt nothing , no one was in the room. And nothing broke LOL If you get anger alot there are anger mangement courses I think. Talk to your Dr if you can. Also medatation helps and sometimes just going outside. Also talking to a freind about it . (((((((remember you matter)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) |
