How has boosting your levels of Vitamin D affected you mentally or otherwise?

My doctor says if I don't take my Vitamin D I will turn into some sort of hunchback, which I don't want, but I wonder what other benefits you may have noticed?

I am hoping it boosts my sex drive which is at an all-time low and is causing problems with my partner.

I was pretty deficient in Vitamin D, not uncommon in Northern Michigan. Optimizing it did not benefit me mentally, however it did greatly improve some chronic muscle/joint pains I was experiencing. I've not heard that it will benefit libido, but exercise boosts endorphins and testosterone which can boost libido.

I take it because I am also in Northern Michigan. I grew up here. Most of my life I was in sunny CA and worked outside most all the time. Even in Michigan in the summer months I get tons of sun. But I have been taking it just in case especially in winter. I have not noticed a difference one way or other to be honest.

I was tested a couple of years ago and my doctor said that my vitamin D levels were the lowest she had ever seen. So I was put on a mega dose for a short time and then 2-3000 mg daily.
I did not feel any different physically however I have osteoporosis and lack of vitamin D is serious since it is needed so my body can properly use calcium to build bones.

I take 1000 IUD a day and notice it makes a major difference to my mental health. I can tell when I've run out and been off it for a few weeks. Acts as an overal mood pick me upper. Also take it per my Dr's recommendation for bone health.

I have to take 3000 daily. I think it does have an effect on feeling well,plus helps protect your bones.

I live in south Texas. Plenty of natural Vit D here. I feel better outdoors so maybe it helps
