my pets are my kids! sounds weird for a 26yo to say, but it's true. i live on a farm and have cats, raising kittens from the day they are born. so to me, they are very special!

tonight the pain continues however. just lost my 4th cat in nine weeks! his name was Rusty, and he was just over a year old. he had been sick for a little while, and i knew something was wrong with him. but had just started giving him medicine a couple days ago. and tonight he seemed okay, like usual. and three hours later, he's on the verge of death... (died within the next two hours)

i'm a person who has depression (t.r.d.) so this crap makes things even worse for me. and the amount of pain i'm in right now is umimaginable! i just can't take this anymore...

Death is never easy to accept or cope with especially when they are your children and you've had them since birth.Just remember to tell yourself the pain is gone and 1 day you will meet again at the rainbow crossing.Gone but never forgotten heres a big and some ng thoughts.

That's awful. I feel for you. Did they all die from the same thing? What did your vet have to say? Do you have any left? Is there anything that can be done to prevent the same thing happening? My heart goes out to you. Good luck in the future xo
Thanks for this!

I'm so sorry for your losses. That's a lot of loss in a short time. It must be horrible. I hope you're able to remember the good times with your kitties. It might be hard to believe now, but time will heal your pain. I'm sure there are lots of other animals that can really use your love. Don't hold that back because you fear more loss and don't mourn too long.

Hoping you're well today.
Thanks for this!

the first one got in an accident and had injuries to the point where i had to make the decision to put him to sleep. four days after that, one cat went missing. three weeks later, another one went missing. [it is strange for our very tame cats to go missing, as they usually stick around for attention] and now this latest one makes four. but from the way it sounds, he probably had either a tumor near his stomach or intestinal problems. [my sister is a vet tech so that was her guess, only talked on the phone about it] and my parents think farm cats aren't worth a trip to the vet, so yeah...

i had eight cats, but some are very friendly and loveable (actively seeking you out for attention) and others aren't so tame (a few pets here and there but don't like to be picked up). what makes this so hard is that the four cats i lost were very friendly and loveable ones, and i had a special bond with each one. now i'm only left with one like that...

and on top of things, the last three were all brothers...
