Did well yesterday, but late last night I overate. Yesterday I told my T that I haven't been taking my meds, and said I would start again. Today I am starting again, although not all 11 of them. Idk, I will take one day at a time and see. I really liked the mania/happy I have been more often, plus more energetic. Bleh, it's w/e.

this has been a very trying week. So long story short is my three kids spent all last week with my wife's family only to come back with out two daughters having bad lice. The real "mystery" is no one else in that household has it so it may of came from one of their cousin's friends. We did the special cleaner/mini rake to remove the bugs and eggs. Oldest daughter it worked on but our youngest... not so much. We had to shave her head to the skin. She loves it and i think it's awesome but our families have done nothing but tell us we should of done this or that instead of what we did, that she wanted done BTW.
Fast forward to today. My wife is so sick that light and sound causes her pain, joys of migraine's. Which i'm cool with her resting in our room except for one small issue. I have to be up and on the road by 5am to get to my job that is half hour away. That is normally not an issue but the kids have yet to learn how to stay in their own room so we can sleep.
I guess compared to others in the world, this is a first world issue and i'm just being whiny.

This last sentence was you invalidating your emotions. We can always compare ourselves to people who are doing better or worse, and that helps us find the joy in our own lives - or leads to dissatisfaction. You chose to be strong and get beyond your concerns. While that is a helpful trait at times, I was concerned that you might not give yourself the pats on the back you deserve. If anyplace in the world is the right place to really let go - wouldn't it be here? <3

Your daughter taking things in stride is a trait she undoubtedly gets from you. Good for her - a survivor. Family interference and hind site opinions are developed habits that can be retrained with time - sometimes it is easier to ignore family, but it depends on how you two feel really.

I hope you had/have a good day at work, you deserve it!

----------------------------------- My daily check in comment.--------------------

I overate again late last night. This morning I am drinking bullion. I am a little worried I will run out of food before I get money - Next time I shop, I will have to buy some ramen or something as back up.
Thanks for this!

I love Toblerone as well . Today I had a nougat chocolate bar with nuts in it. I actually only wanted to eat "one piece" of it but as it goes.... I ate the whole (surprise surprise ), watching myself like an outside spectator like "is this me whos eating this right now?".
Thanks for this!

I got groceries delivered yesterday and it is mostly junk food. Lots of potato chips, corn Bugles, tons of Little Debbie cakes (yesterday the zebra cakes i was dying to have were nothing short of brilliance when I finally ate some), and ice cream. I have like 2 years worth of controlled binging food here. I'm so sorry about it because I hate feeling myself getting bigger.

Trying to make vegetable ratio greater then anything else. Wondering if not tasting food means it cannot satisfy? If I am choosier, and try to like everything I am eating, instead of eating for the sake of it, will I be more satisfied? Is not tasting food a habit of childhood and through being a parent and not affording things I like part of the cause? How often do I not like what I am eating, but eating it because it is in a category? (Eating treat/ eating health/ eating for digestion).

noting this thread is slowly dying under all the new ones.

still binging a lot

going through a bit of a chocolate phase at the moment- filled up my entire fridge with crunchy bars and just going through them

also in the last 2 days- had 2 takeaways.. had chinese friday and pizza yesterday.

i'm going to have my roast today though, a bit of a success i suppose (but even that will be without veg or anything healthy)
Thanks for this!

I did well yesterday at first. Only ate vegetables and fruit and lots of water. But then after midnight I was still awake and craving - so I ate 2 bowls of cookie cereal and a bowl of chips, meat and cheese all within 15 minutes to a half hour. :/ I woke up 4 hours later with a terrible stomach ache, tried to drink water, then tried to drink water with a dose of Miralax (prescribed by Dr. this week). Then my stomach was extended and I violently threw up 3 times, not self induced, but forced out of the body. Incredible ringing headache from that, and bad shoulder pain. Back to sleep for 2 hours - now, it is another day. I will try to stick to Day 1 of the cabbage soup diet AGAIN. Hopefully starting out feeling terrible will help. Trying to retrain my eating, but with hubbys 'fun' food around, well...

Yesterday I had a little too much guacamole and chips. But I did resist the urge to get frozen yogurt and toppings.

Today I went to a Chinese buffet. Should have had less fried food but I did also have some healthy stuff such as bean curd and mustard greens. But I had less fried food than last time I was there.

I have an overeating problem... I'm going to post here daily in the evenings for accountability so that I can make a habit of not eating junk food at night.

Last night I ate a bowl of ice cream, that was it. Not too bad, but I would like to move toward fruit snacks at night. Thanks for reading

Here's my first daily post. My goal is to post everyday after I put the kids to bed (7-8pm) so that I can prevent night time binges/sweets. This is my worst time for junk food because my will power just falls apart at this time of day.

My day went pretty well. Had a latte with a little bit of vanilla syrup... I don't mind that kind of treat as I was out with the kids. My goal for this evening is to eat as much watermelon as I like, but no processed foods. I'll comment here about how it went.
Thanks for this!

I put back maybe 5 pounds since spring. My friend said I look heavier than ever, but maybe he didn't see me when I was this weight in winter or spring. Anyway I am too heavy.

When the lady at triple a took my first drivers license photo, I looked visibly heavier to myself also. She was really nice and did another photograph after the first one freaked me out. It was still pretty bad but at least I took my hair out of my ponytail for that second one. It helped.

Tried Kale for the first time ever last night. Sauteed in garlic and bullion, with onions. It was pretty good, and I felt good eating something so healthy. Then I followed with a small cabbage salad. At least this morning I was able to have a slight bowel movement. The Miralax the Dr. prescribed only helps a tiny bit - mostly it just makes me bloat and have pain. I wish I could afford probiotics, or food that was better at digestion. Well, before making good choices last night I had jelly doughnut, rye bread with butter, green smoothy, coffee w/ sugar and creamer, potato w/ butter, brownie. But I am hopeful that if I continue buying HEALTHY foods that I LIKE, I will make better choices more often. Depressed today. Need to eat first meal of the day, and I want an egg on toast, but when I start out with carbs, I keep craving them all day. (having egg, but making healthy omelet - so that is a good beginning).

Anrea, have you tried probiotic yogurt? You can get it plain with no sugar or artificial sweeteners (those cancel out the effects I think) and it has really helped me. And it's not expensive. If you're not used to it I would just eat a little at a time until your body gets used to it.
Thanks for this!

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried supplements once (which worked well), but not the yogurt. I asked my Dr. for a probiotic prescription - but he went this route. I hate spending the 12 dollars a month probiotics might cost, but I am wondering if eventually I won't have a choice.

Shattered Sanity - are you still feeling high anxiety, or is this another symptom of BED?

<3 Hoping you feel well today.
