Well, I'm new here to Psychcentral. I was diagnosed with BPD 2 years ago while inpatient for paranoia & suicide ideation. I have gone thru DBT and a paritial hospitalization program.

Today, I met with my therapist and we discussed my situation and was told I was going thru a relapse of depression. I have been crying a lot lately and feel so alone and just plain said. My sister & her family are moving in a month 2000 miles away from me and I will no longer be able to see my nephews.

I get so frustrated as the depression keeps coming back, it never goes away. it's like a constant monster that wants to linger and hits you when you are most vulnerable.

Hi whales75

Welcome to PC BPD , Relapse It sounds like you went through some great treatment programs for your disorder. I also attended a DBT program several years ago, and found it extremely helpful.

Are you currently seeing a psychiatrist as well as your therapist? Perhaps, they can help with your severe depression symptoms, and assess a medication regimine or make some changes if you already have one.

Glad to have you on the boards, looking forward to seeing ya around!

Take care,
Dee

The course of recovery does not seem to be always in one direction. It gets better and worse and better. You can only hope with working on it overall it gets better.

Thanks for the reply. I do have a psychiatrist. I'm on an antipsychotic and an antidepressant right now. I'm not schedule to see him until September. I felt great the last time I saw him, so he said not to come back until 6 months.

Medication helps, but I know it's not the answer. I guess I'll have to use my DBT skills for often particulary Distract. right now. I still work on my diary cards, cuz it reminds me of what I need to practice.

Welcome to Psychcentral. I'm sorry you are hurting. I think anyone would be sad when someone they care about moves away. When my sister went away to college, I joined our church youth group. It helped. It's harder to be the one left behind.
