Well, it seems I can thank Vice President Cheney for being there and causing some "excitement." My boss assumed I'd run into chaos and confusion and said it was okay that I left.

Cheney wasn't the reason I left, but she doesn't know that and it works for me.

I kept telling myself that once I was in the "situation" I would kick into work mode and all would be forgotten and that the worry is always worse before these things.

It didn't work this time though, and I ended up in a frenzy. I kinda knew it would end up bad because my mind knew the reasons behind the trigger, and was rationalizing it pretty well I thought, but my body was on high alert and kickin' my butt.

Glad it's over for now.
