Let go of meeeeeeeeeeee....
 I just want to escape, but it's like a ball and chain following me wherever I go...sometimes I can forget it's there, but not now.

Buy a small symbol, a roller skate charm or little dump truck and put the incident in/on them to help you carry them around. Any time it gives you trouble, just look at how small and "cute" the symbol is.
Be an enginieer :-) and put together a model: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hasegawa-CCK.../dp/B0006NGOYM locking your incident into it?

Sorry it took me so long to reply...thanks, Perna. That's quite a good idea, although it would have to be something new - I don't really want something I already own suddenly becoming a "reminder" of the event.
 That dump truck is very cool!
