lamictal and depakote causing joint pain???

i'm on low doses of lamictal and depakote and my joints are killing me. anyone have this happen??? thanks

you should definitely talk to your pdoc about this, and maybe he can take you off of them, or prescribe a lower dose, or whatever else he/she reccommends.

I had been on Depakote, a couple years ago, and then Lamictal, the Dep, may be the culprit here, check with your pdoc. again, like the saying goes meds affect everyone different.
So far, Lamictal has been my "friend", having no noticable side effects. . . but I must say my pdoc titrated up the Lamictal as directed.
Final words, check with the prescribing doc. about this, there can be a need for change in dosage, meds. or just patience as time allows for any "mild" side effects.
Just to be at some ease, talk with your pdoc.
This, is the best I can say.
Wishing you lots of luck with this, I understand (from experience) it can all be so frustrating. . . but please, do not give up.

thank you so much........it's gotten worse..i see my Pdoc this week so am anxious to talk to her about it. sometimes after i've been sitting down, i can hardly walk when i get up........but i do really like the results ofo the two meds concerning my depression. i feel like a real person with joint paint!

Maybe Lamictal alone, will work??
I like that it hasn't caused me weight gain, Depakote and Remeron, in my past caused huge gain, glad when I was changed.
