Hi yall, I've been here b4 but I forgot my user ID so I had to start over... Anyways I gotta question...
I no longer see a pdoc, started getting my meds through a PA at the family practice office in town... Shes great, I really like her... Anyways I am currently supposed to be taking 100 mg of Zoloft, 900 mg of Lithium, and 150 mg of Trazodone... I say supposed to because on the Zoloft I only take 50 mg BECAUSE I am not ready to redo the 100 mg side effects... (I stopped taking them for a while) The doctor took me off of Seroquel 100 mg because I had gained a lot of weight and she thinks that may be why... That's how I ended up with Trazodone, lastnight was my first night taking it and I fell asleep about 10:00pm and woke up at 1:00am really suicidal like... I mean all I could think about is the bad things in life, I hated the world... (I lost my dad on March 7th 2005) That had also been on my mind when I woke up... Finally at about 3:00am I was finally able to fall asleep again... Now my question is... Should I be taking the full 100 mg of Zoloft to not have the suicidal side effects? Or is it just something I will overcome? Can I continue to take only 50 mg? (The doctor doesnt know I only take 50) Is 150 mg of Trazodone a lot?

Thanks for listening...

Chica

I'm on 50 mg of Trazodone, and yeah, I don't think I've ever heard of someone taking 150 mg's, so maybe it is kind of a large amount, but I'm no pharmicist. I'm sorry you lost your dad...I lost mine in 2001 Zoloft, Lithium, and Trazodone...

I hope this works for you. I began lithium in '79 and really complied in '89. Rough years. Since '98 I am on 100 mg. zoloft, 900 mg. lithium, and 2000mg. of neurontin. I never thought I could feel this well. Meds are improving this triple treat really helps me. I had tried wellbutin, effexor, depakote. There are side effects and some meds for some of them. But more of my days are actually happy than not. I believe there will be the right mix for you. I don't feel safe from the bad times, but they are getting further and further away.

Hi, thanks for replying... During the day I do really well most of the time... My only problem is getting to sleep... So I think the Zoloft and Lithium are doing their job... Although tomorrow I get the results to my blood test for my Lithium level... Then I will really know how it's gonna work... I sure hate to change my dose.... I hope my level comes out fine...

Hi,
I take all my zoloft in the morning. When I took any after that I couldn't sleep. The neurontin really helps me to sleep. Trust your doctor or find a new one. If I learn anything from this site, it's that there are so many different mixes of drugs. I wish you well.
