I have pdoc appt today at 1:30pm. I had to come off my cymbalta because of insurance denying the prescription.
Today I find out from new Doctor (who I am scared to go see) what the next med is they think will help out...

Can any body w/ Borderline Personality Disorder give me suggestions for what works doesnt work for them.
This would be helpful...
Thanks!

I know that low-dose Risperdal has helped a couple of folk out, as it reduced the feelings of obsession and compulsion, and allowed for time to think things through (reduced impulsivity). Less anxiety.

It really depends on what specific issues you're trying to address, I'd think.

I'm sorry that my post came across like that. I'm not very cognitively sharp right now. I meant obsession/compulsion in the realm of self-harm/suicidality, although that's not what I said. And the impulsivity factor was a big realm of relief. What I was trying to say, and failed to accomplish, was focussing on a subset of the behavioural/cognitive issues with respect to med selection. The right med is going to arise from the right focus, vis a vis symptoms of greatest distress.

I'll shut up now.

Good Susan Borderlines....help me here w/ med question....

I hope you have some good results with this med. It has helped me alot. When I tapered down I did have some hellacious headaches, nausea and irritability but eventually it subsided. I wish you luck with this.

Love,

Jen
