Did you all know that the change in seasons may be giving you mood trouble? I have been stable on my meds since aug of 05 but when mid-march hit, I became unstable. I went to the doctor the other day and he says he's keeping busy as right now is a very common time for people with mood disorders to have problems. We adjusted my meds and I feel better already. Who would have thought!

It's not really so crazy, to consider the changing seasons as a stressor. April, I bet, is the top month for mood disorder treatment, in the northern hemisphere. October, in the south.
The light intensity, the power of the sunlight striking the Earth, is presently the same as the middle of August. We are now five weeks past equinox, and five weeks before the autumnal equinox is mid-August. The difference is that deciduous trees do not have full canopies in April. There is far less shade in April than in August. The further north you go, the more that trend is accentuated. I closely track my mood at certain times of year. I have a very distinct cycle, and certain points of that cycle put me much more "at risk" than at other points. It's definitely a big part of my self-management protocol, watching the calendar. Lar |

Hmmm I'm confused ...
Is that because you get low on Vitamin D after the winter months? |
