Alittle bit of loss of appetite, otherwise it is a great antidepressant. but sometimes you might get a sleepless night, but not always.

Sammi, 2 of my closest friends were on paxil and to be honest, after a while it doesn't work as is suppose to, so they (both) need it different medication, to switch from paxil to a new one, they have the worst withdraws.
I hope it works ok for you but I have my reservations about it.
Talk to your doctor about any questions you have. Paxil?

Yes thats a normal side-effect. Was on Paxil for about 6 months. I lost about 15-20lbs while on it, and had to force myself to make sure I ate atleast "something". But I needed to lose the extra weight anyhow! lol

It did seem to fade after about 30-60 days though and I started to get hungry again!

Of course it ended up not working for me, but I have heard some success stories with it. Withdraw for me stopping cold turkey wasnt so bad, not nearly as bad as effexxor atleast!

Good luck to you!

I was on it for three years while I learned in t herapy and depression management classes how to take care of my depression with other coping tools too. I had no problem with eating. if anything I ate more because when I am depressed and or upset I cant eat. and the medication kept me from feeiling depressed and so on so I wanted to eat again. it wasn't until after my child came home and during his five months home welbutrin was added at which point my wanting to eat went significantly down and aided in my losing 50 pounds. I did on the other hand have a vertigo problem when on paxil. I could not move very fast when sitting up or sitting down, laying down and getting up and walking fast because I would get dizzy.
