Having this heat wave, I'm very conscious of my time outside in the heat and humidity, since in the past several years, I have become totally intolerant of it. Quite by accident, I read a post here on PC about antidepressants causing heat intolerance and even heat stroke. This was three months ago, and after reading that, and doing some research online to confirm it, I began breaking my 40 mg. tabs in half...for three months now, and having no ill side effects other than a week or so of anxiety with students at the end of school year chaos.
Though we are having record high temps and humidity here, I am certain I am doing better. I've actually even been able to go outside and do some work around my house, which I would never have been able to do in the past several years. Patty |

Oh hon, I'm right there with you. This hot, humid weather is miserable and actually makes me ill. I am on Lexapro. Hang in there, winter's coming!

I also feel like a wet mop, it is unbearable, I am on 300mg,
of generic wellbutrin. I am going to talk to my doctor soon, because I can't even put my makeup on. Well good luck, stay cool... |

I haven't talked to my doctor about it yet, but started decreasing the Paxil by half on my own, and seem to be tolerating this heat wave a little better than past summers.
I'm nervous about decreasing further, especially with the stress of teaching starting in two weeks. Makeup!...LOL..I don't even bother in this weather, and I look like an albino with my blonde eyelashes. Patty |

Yeah - I'm going nuts with the current heatwave and my meds definitely make it worse. And also remember a lot of atypical antipsychotics increase photosensativity so be really careful about being in the sun.
