since we all seem to be a good bunch of feeling anxious while waiting for Ts to reply to us, maybe we could set up a hang out to distract us in the meantime?

in a particularly ridiculous waiting-anxiety situation, i txted austin-t 4 minutes ago and he hasn't replied. of course this means he is fed up with me. we had an appt today at 10:30, and he txted me at 10:27 to ask if i was coming (i'd told him last week to cancel, he said he'd keep it open) and i replied saying "no, sorry i wasn't clear about this last week". and usually he replies saying something like "no worries" or whatever, but today he didn't. so i sent him a message about 10mins later asking if we could reschedule and he hasn't replied to that either now.

ugh. im going to hide my phone because i can just feel it radiating hate in my direction. i really really hate relationships and i really really hate communication.

I'm so sorry you are having to wait for his reply. Hopefully he replies soon. Could it be that he doesn't know you are waiting for a reply? Good luck. Sending calmness your way.

Thanks for this!

Deli, why did you cancel t today? Since he said he was leaving the slot open in case you change your mind, why didn't you go? I'm asking because soon after he texted to see if you were coming, you wanted to reschedule. It just seems like you really wanted to see T, but why didn't you?
Thanks for this!

thank you googley.

i feel stupid for posting because i know this is ridiculous, but austin-t really has become scary in my head and i've been agonising all morning whether to text him or not so i feel bad he hasn't replied, because it took a lot for me to ask for a new appt.

usually i am good about waiting for his replies and there isn't any angst. this is just a hangover from last week, i know. but the hangover hasn't been resolved so this is really, really, really scary. i'm worried he'll say no to me coming back and then pdoc will be angry at me for screwing up because i always screw up therapy and i'm no good that way.

(((((deli))))) Austin-T will respond. There are SO many possible explanations for why he didn't yet, and I think "Austin-T is fed up with me" is the LEAST likely.

i cancelled today because of the stuff he said last week when i saw him. but then i saw pdoc afterwards and pdoc wants me to keep seeing austin-t, so i said ok. but pdoc said he would talk to austin-t first and fix things, and he hasn't done that yet (that i know of) so i didn't go today because things still aren't fixed with austin-t. but i trust pdoc to fix things and i think he will fix it by next week which is why i asked for an appt next week.

but i guess austin-t doesn't know any of that so it must look weird to him. im too scared of him right now though to try and explain.

Well I hope austin-t texts back soon. Hang in there and try not to let the worry thoughts take control. He may just be unaware of the urgency since he may not know what's going on if pdoc hasn't spoken to him yet. Is there any way you can try to fix things with austin-t?
Thanks for this!

thanks, tay - you're right. i'm letting worry thoughts take control. i feel dread right now and i can't shift that but at least i can stop myself from compounding that feeling by making up reasons (true or not) for it.
i hope austin-t replies at some point today but if not pdoc will know what to do tomorrow. even if he doesn't fix it directly he can coach me in what to say.
blergh. i feel like such a loser for being panicky about this and also for depending on pdoc so much. but i'm just going to thought-stop now and do some uni work (statistics!) instead. at least i'll have a very valid reason for feeling grumpy afterwards.

he just replied and said it's ok. and he apologised for replying "late" (only one hour!) - he said he'd been kept back in a meeting.

just hit me next time i get into the loop. i'm so sorry for being such a twit. now i really deserve stats as punishment.

I'm sure stats will be a lot more bearable now that you have heard back from austin-t!

Well, at least you're sorry. In my experience, most twits don't know they are one or don't apologize enough even if they realize it.
