i saw pdoc and i'm highly strung out/anxious & so he's given me some ativan to help get the edge off. im really really pent up and i dont know why.

i just need somewhere to feel ok and i was hoping this could maybe be it.
Thanks for this!

aww, thank you all so much for the hugs. i took one tablet and then fell asleep for 8.5hrs. i did need the sleep, but now it's almost midnight, and i'm worried i'll struggle getting back to bed.

pdoc said i can take 3 a day, though, so i might take another to help me keep asleep.

austin-t & i have been dealing with triggers recently, and this anxiety does feel very ptsd-ish, so maybe something just got stirred up. also i just started the old meds yesterday, and that always give me night-time panic attacks when i'm adjusting, so it's probably a combo of both.

im actually surprisingly tired again. time for milk and bed.

thank you all for helping to add to this safe space. when i get down i need people around me, where i can just be, and now that im not at home anymore i dont really have a replacement.
Thanks for this!

went straight to bed and slept another 10hrs. i think i've been so keyed up that finally not being anxious let me drop dead .

pdoc was really really beautiful yesterday. he knew i wasnt coping very well and he said all i had to do was let him look after me, that he didnt have any expectations of me himself. so i just needed to let him take over.

and he said he had been thinking about me during the week, and how sad i was about going back on my old meds (+ diet). pdoc is a real foodie - he'd been telling me about some ingredients he'd had imported last week to make up a curry - and i'd got all stroppy & told him i can't eat any of that stuff anymore. so this week he took a picture of one of the bottles and showed me on his mobile, and he said he's cellared it away and won't touch it for as long as i'm on these meds.

later he was teasing me about something (and i started blushing, and he got really happy - he says he loves teasing me about stuff, it's one of his favourite things to do :P) and i said "you're always mean to me" (jokingly) and he got all serious and calm and said "i'm NEVER mean to you" and looked into my eyes for a really long time. it was just this moment that meant a lot to me and i wanted to write it out here so i dont forget.
Thanks for this!

Wow Deli, how does it feel to know that you are soooo cared for by your Doc? It sounds like you have a nurturing and supportive ally. I am glad you have gotten rest and maybe just knowing how much you are cared about will bring you a little peace and calm
