I told my T that I was on the chat forums usually between the hours of 9 - 11pm. She returned one of my phone calls at 9:30pm one night as she figured I would be up chatting online :-) I don't know if my T is on this website ever but she does know my name 'geez'. There have been times when I've recieved responses from people and I feel like it was my T writing to me. Other times she has asked me what people have said about a question I posted.

It wasn't any big deal to me to tell her.....it would have been a bigger deal to insist on hiding it.....

I think my therapist is too technologically illiterate to find PC. And he's young. At least it comes across that way. I may have mentioned it randomly, but I just KNEW he didn't have the capability to come searching for me, so I didn't think about it. Jokes on me, he's probably reading every horrible thing I say about him. So THAT's why he wants to stop therapy with me suddenly... hahaha

But I purposely used a name that isn't mine, so that would be hard...

I have not and will not tell my T about this forum! I think I would absolutely die if she read some of the things I have posted on here about her and about my therapy experience. It's not that I want to "hide" anything from her, it's just that, for me, it's easier to share certain things when it's anonymous, and when others are sharing as well. Anything I feel I need to share with T, I will share with her; but this forum is my place to "test out" sharing certain thoughts and feelings-- and have them received by a non-judgmental audience of others who are often experiencing similar things. It's kind of like having group therapy in addition to individual therapy. Sometimes they overalp, sometimes they don't; but I don't necessarily want to mix them!
Thanks for this!
