I didnt do my homework, I don't like him "having my number" so to speak, and IM just really uncomfortable with what we are talking abut lately.

Maybe you should've gone anyways. I know sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do. This may be one of them.

Ah, listen to me...I'm telling you this when I don't even want to go to partial tomorrow! I'm thinking about cancelling and everything. Maybe I should take my own advice, eh?

Not going is not going to get you any help any faster. Maybe you could express to him the things you don't like next time - about "having your number", being uncomfortable with what you're talking about lately, etc etc. I'm sure he's not going to be upset with you about the homework deal.

Next time really try to make it. Blew off T appointment I hope things go better for you!

Things are not going to improve unless you discuss them with your therapist. He has no way of knowing what is wrong unless you are upfront and honest. He will understand and between the two of you come up with a plan that will be the most benefit to you. That is what he is there for. Please don't just give up and discontinue going. That will only hurt you. Please reconsider your position.

I agree with Bipolor bear. In this day and age with all the crap from the medical insurance companies giving us the run around and with the terrible difficulty finding a halfway decent T, You should definetly go to each and every appointment. YOu are very lucky to have a good one that will listen. Please go and dont miss anymore appointments.

yeah therapy is work. Only you suffer when you don't go.. not the T nor anyone else... hope you are able to realize you are worth the effort!

I have done this before, but I found that in the next session if I told him how I was feeling about the appointment, he was reassuring and asked what we could do for the next time to fix that, since then I haven't missed anymore hehe

Go ahead and be a six year old. It is good for you once in a while to stomp your feet. If you are going to have a real good fit however, show it off! Let your T know that you don't want to go and have him deal with it.

Some of my best sessions have been when I didn't want to go.
