You guys make my sessions interesting. Like the "t's posture thread"

No idea, I think the common go to guess is brown and that's what I was going to do. Now I'll get there and the first thing I'll do is gaze into her eyes. And then of course stare at the vent on the door
Thanks for this!

That's what I should have done. I should have started a thread called "What's the color of...."

A) Your T's eyes
B) Your T's favorite pair of shoes
C) The floor in T's office
D) T's door
E) T's clock

lol

B) He has three pairs he kind of rotates, black, brown and gray. Black is my favorite. Twice he has worn tennis shoes and jeans.
C) Weird, neutral colored carpet
D) Wooden - medium tone
E) Gold with a white face

I don't have a clue. For me though, that is not as telling as it might be. I cannot off the top of my head tell what color my partner's eyes are. And I do look at her. I can't answer the other questions either. I have no idea about her footwear and I never fully remember her office other than I always recall it being very dark and am kind of surprised when I walk in and it is light. But to put in some perspective for me, I could not tell the color of my office chair at school or my refrigerator or what color towel I used this morning (that is hanging in my bathroom. I am seriously not good at this.

A) Your T's eyes not totally sure... that is my mission to figure out! I think they are brown, but they might be blue? All I know is they are so full of care and compassion, and they never move from my face when I'm talking (even when I'm looking down)

B) Your T's favorite pair of shoes she's a shoe junkie, and has many fun pairs of boots.

C) The floor in T's office a grey carpet covered somewhat by a pretty, floral area rug with cremes and blues and greens and greys

D) T's door white, one raised panel on the top and one raised panel on the bottom

E) T's clock not sure, as the clock is behind me, out of my line of vision.

Don't know. I will look at her, but I don't really "see" her. If that makes any sense. At every session, I'm shocked when she comes out to get me. I can't keep an accurate image of her in my head between sessions.
Thanks for this!

Bluuuue! But it took me a while to realise I usually only really notice if someone has dark eyes or not! I thought my cousin, who I've known for about 20 years, had green eyes - turns out they are in fact blue. That was an awkward phonecall. I couldn't tell you if my best friend's eyes are blue or green, either... blue I think...

LOL!

My T has brown eyes. They're always kind whenever I muster up the courage to look. I typically expect them to be angry.
Thanks for this!

Wow! This thread is very interesting. I'm actually really surprised that about half of us don't remember how our Ts look or what color their eyes are. I must stick out like a sore thumb because I remember exactly how T looks like, her black shoes, the color of her hair, her big blue eyes, her big and thick eye lids, when she gets cold sores, when she gets zits or breaks out, and when she has white dog hair all over her. I remember how her room looks like as well. All the text books she has. The ugly painting she has on one wall. Her clock's ticking sound is so loud it bothers me. The color of her door is dark brown. The carpet is gray. T has two different lunch bags. One is a skyblue color and the other one is orange and yellow. What a memory! Remembering so much is either a blessing or a curse I tell ya. Sometimes when I stare at her, she looks away. I wonder what that means?

Eyes- brown that lightens or darkens with his mood
Ear hair- silver with remnants of brown
he has a mole on his ear that looks like an earring stud
(i'm making him sound hideous-he isn't!)

I just had my session today but I don't remember my T's shoes, the carpet, the door, or a clock. There must be a clock; I know I've looked at it, but now I can't remember it at all! I know she wears boots a lot in winter. I know the couch is a beige color; I think the door is white. The carpet is probably some kind of earth tone.

Her eyes, as I posted before, are green, but not green/green. Pale, so maybe a grayish green. They're very pretty.

For all of you with male therapists - are his shoe slip on or tie ( their choice of slip on or is significant!) Mine wears tied shoes. Always shirt and tie. Has lots of pictures of his two girls in his office. Office is very cozy - comfortable couch, lamp in one corner that is always lit, lots of books on beautiful wooden bookshelves. Nice corner office with lots of windows.

And btw, he has a really cute butt

Yay! One I can answer!! He wears shoes that tie.

No tie, just dress shirt. Office is a little cluttered which annoys me. He has pictures of his kids. His butt isn't really worth writing about...typical male butt in baggy dress pants. Yet I look anyway because I am deranged.

Some of each, but mostly slip on. How is it significant?
Only one photo of his two kids, kind of tucked in next to his computer where it's not obvious.
Office is uncluttered, but not bare. He keeps the little horse figurine that I gave him right above his computer monitor, right in the middle.
Also a nice corner office office, with only one bookshelf, and one corner shelf with a couple of plants and a little house, and a few other things I imagine are gifts from clients.
His butt is not great, unfortunately. I really thought he would have a better butt given that he is a runner, but it's pretty flat. It looks better in jeans than dress pants, though, so who really knows.
