I think for me it's because I see myself reflected back. And I don't always like what I see.

It's almost as if they can see right through you. Makes you feel vulnerable.
I have no idea what colour my T's are. Matter fact I don't even remember what he looks like yet. When I last saw him he had a goatee. I thought it was something new-but apparently not!

My previous therapist was awesome at eye contact. There was something about his eyes (bright blue) that drew me in and I had a hard time looking away.

And he had an amazing butt. Actually, the first time I met him, all I could think was "this guy is way too hot to be my therapist." But he turned out to be wonderful, at least till he moved away.
Thanks for this!

My therapist (male) has gorgeous brown eyes - already mentioned that. And he is awesome at eye contact - totally warm and sensitive - draws you right in.

Hey just read this in Phycology Today and it referenced blue eyes .... I found it interesting. http://http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/200706/ten-politically-incorrect-truths-about-human-nature

"One explanation is that the human pupil dilates when an individual is exposed to something that she likes. For instance, the pupils of women and infants (but not men) spontaneously dilate when they see babies. Pupil dilation is an honest indicator of interest and attraction. And the size of the pupil is easiest to determine in blue eyes. Blue-eyed people are considered attractive as potential mates because it is easiest to determine whether they are interested in us or not."

I'd never noticed my current T's eyes, but I made a point of looking at them this week. They're a very kind, gentle blue. I should look at them more often.

And his shoes were black.
Thanks for this!

Brown. And they're huge. They're part of my safe place. On Friday we were doing safe place imagery and as she said 'And you can look into your [T's name's] eyes and know that you are loved safe', I had to open my eyes to look into hers. And she held my gaze for ages and ages before saying gently 'and now close your eyes again'.

If blonde hair and blue eyes are universally admired, why don't we all have them?

I had a therapy session today and made sure that I remembered that she has light blue eyes. I wish she was my mom. Told her that I think I love her more than my mom. Therapist doesn't really think that I love her more than my mom. She asked me today to test who I love most if all 4 of them (parents, herself, person I wish was my dad) died who would I feel most devastated? I so don't want to think about that happening and it upset me. She said she thinks it would be my parents but I said all of them. Sorry I got off subject here. Think I'm going to try and do my best to keep eye contact as it is very difficult for me to do so. However I don't want to stare at her.
