That's right Bmee! I'm outside trying to get a little sun since I'm so freaking pale. The sun went under some clouds though. Oh well, now it's cooler!

Granite and TTGB it was nice to see you stopped by. Take care

It's going to be excessively hot here today. Record heat. So last I night I dreamed about it snowing. Guess that's my mind's way of coping since I don't have air conditioning.

Just like that Twilight Zone episode (one of the top 11) where the paintings melt, but the opposite way around! When I dream of snow, I wake up to find I kicked my blankie off.

Hi all. Hope you're doing well. I had a reasonably good day, celebrating Mother's Day (which is always on the last Sunday of May here) with mum and my siblings with their families. Feeling totally guilty now for not being more supportive.

Am not very active in the forums right now since a lot of the current threads make me weirdly upset. But as TTGB said, the couch is safe enough

Didn't spend much time on the couch today. Church this morning, nap, a long time on the phone with my very talkative bro (who had a car crash Fri night, but is OK ... the car, however is not. Irony, he hit a drunk driver who stopped to make a turn, so it was his fault, but the drunk guy is in more trouble. The guy's wife and mom showed up before the cops and tried to talk my bro into saying one of them was driving! My bro was like, no way! But he was talking to his insurance when the cops showed up - it was out of town so took a while - and they went ahead and told them the mom was driving. When the cops talked to my bro, he was like, WTF? Anyway ..... so he had lots to say about that and getting another car, etc.....)
Then H and the kids and I went to the track to run. My 5yr old has been asking to go and took off running the moment we got there. He's such an energetic, irrepressible little guy, a total firecracker, but so cute.
It was actually fun (relatively speaking!) to do speed work. The track even seemed shorter, which made me hate it less. My best lap was 1:25 so I have gotten several seconds faster than when we went to the track 6-7 weeks ago. H even said my form looked better. So I was happy with it and happy with the day.

Granite - glad you are finding a few minutes to check in. Take care.

We never got the heat they predicted. Which was somewhat of a bummer since I had planned on playing in the sprinkler with my nephew who is visiting. We are going to the parade tomorrow instead. I do not like parades. They are overstimulating for me, but I love to watch my nephew's reaction to all the cars and trucks, so I am going.

well, darn it. was feeling good after a nice run and meditation time this morning, sit down at the computer and damned migraine starts, with that stupid little blinking, jaggedy-raggedy spot. and H has to work today, so I was going to go to the gym earlier to lift, but now I have this stupid thing intruding on my plans. grrrrr!
wonder if I can will myself to ignore it or just keep going as if it isn't really there, and make it be not so bad that way ......

good evening, getting out of bed and lying on the couch... I guess it's a step up from hiding under the cover for a few days...
Not planning to go to work tomorrow, will probably hang out here a bit.
I am hungry, should eat something, any suggestions? Anybody has something on the couch to share, I believe my fridge is empty, or what is inside shouldn't be eaten.

morning folks. Just curled up on the couch reading PC while the men in my life occupy the bathrooms getting ready for work. I remember being up and showed, donning a business suit and reviewing the stock market while my kids readied for school. Times have changed.
