Got to see my T today. He has been out all week working with others "on site" . T made a point to see some clients today and I was one of them.

This week has been a test for me because last week we did EMDR work and T instilled some positive things for me. Basically he is really pushing me to have the grown up part of myself start taking care of the younger part of my heart. It was tough for me to realize what T was trying to get me to do, but I went with it and have spent this week trying very hard to hold onto my mature wise-mind self.

And I was able to do it!!!

It was sad today after session because I felt like I left being awake. I know that I am finally recovering from my breakdown 3 yrs ago. July 1 will mark 3 yrs of being with my T for 1-3x week. A whole lot of pain and a whole lot of tears. But when I left today, I left feeling like I was the one in charge of my healing at the deepest level.

My T did it. He taught me how to be a good parent to myself. Now to just keep on walking this new road one step at a time.

Good for you! I am glad you are feeling in charge of your healing. My T has been encouraging me to do similar things recently...getting the grown up part to take care of the not so grown up part. What you did this week is not easy...in fact it is really tough, but you did it!
Thanks for this!

Thanks guys :-) Yes, it does feel good. It feels healthy! I don't like the way I feel when I am not healthy in my mind and spirit. It is like having a flu on the inside.

It is tough to get out of the internal bed and force myself to walk around.

But only by pushing through that am I able to get well. But I do like this healthy feeling a whole lot.
Now I can get back to enjoying my life and doing fun things like enjoying going out to the movies with my best friend today!!!

You guys here are the fantastic peeps. You guys were there for me when the nights were too dark and the pain was too deep. I would not have made it without your help.

This is so wonderful to hear. I am so proud of all your hard work and how far you've come. You give your T the credit, but really it is you who deserves the credit.
