My T likes me.
 She's never said it outright that I recall but she demonstrates it. She gave me a card on the way out tonight. In it she said that she'll be thinking of me while she's on vacation for the next 11 days.

I really honestly have no clue.. I have never asked and he has never told me. He did say one time that sometimes when he is talking to me about therapy related things he feels like we are sparing (he is a fencer).. I am thinking that means, I am a bit difficult and who wants to like a difficult person??

I'm really lucky because my T tells me that she likes me. I have no idea how I've managed to be likable. All that she's seen of me! She tells me that she looks forward to seeing me, and is glad when she sees my name in her diary. She tells me that I'm frustrating too, though. I am fairly stubborn and take my time, even though I don't mean to. Progress is slow, but fairly consistent. I'm always glad to know the truth about how she feels. I think it keeps me grounded, and not guessing something which is miles from the truth. I think I'm just starting to really feel that she feels more positively about me, than I feel about myself. I'm only just able to trust that, and it feels like quite a big step. So T likes me, and it's been important for me to know that, and I think it's helping me to head in the right direction. Occasionally I'll say something positive about myself now, and T points out "YOU said that. It came from YOU".

I have one of the rare T's that actually says "I love you" once in a while. I asked her once point-blank if she liked me (because my mom was the queen of "I love you, but I don't like you" in my teenage years) and she said she did. She said she has an uncanny ability to put herself in someone else's shoes and that helps her be very forgiving of others. Plus she talks really openly to me and I cannot imagine someone doing that with someone they dislike.

My T has said he likes it when I do X or Y but I dont think has said he likes me. At best he tolerates me but I suspect he is mostly indifferent.
