i don't post much. i'm a lurker. but my T has been out of town for passover and i saw him the day before. we are getting into a bunch of heavy stuff and then he just left me! can't see him until friday. i feel like i'm going insane. he said he was turning his pager off but i could call if something came up, but he wouldn't check every day.
i keep thinking of all of this new stuff. i am writing it down, but i feel so frantic and it hurts. i know it isn't his fault, but i just hate that i've been left so torn open almost.
anyone know how to deal with this?

Hello Rubylizard,

Yeah, I know that feeling well. Feeling abandoned and whether I will be able to cope without him.

The thing is that we do manage somehow, therapist's have to have a break sometimes.

Like you, I do alot of writing and that helps, and I find Psych Central helps me too!

Try to keep yourself occupied and remind yourself that your T will be back soon.

Hey! Only four days left to go!

WOW this is a tough situation! If he allowed you to call with knowing that he won't return an emergency call, why not go ahead and leave a message? That might help you have some contact and get you through this week easier.

Remember, your T needs this time to recharge. You have PC to post all your frustrations.. why not do so??? can't wait to see T...passover is too long! :-)
