Trinity, I actually think your experience with food was a good thing. You were a looking for a way to find some comfort when you were feeling very down and hopeless. I think the manner you chose was a good choice, considering other alternatives. Was it really SO bad (what/how you ate), or are you being too hard on yourself? The good news is, you are getting back on track, and that is fantastic! We are human, we screw up. That is the nature of being human. Everyone, I mean everyone does it. Daily. Sending you some love and the hope that today you can do something loving for all your selves. ♥

Also, I don't know if you've read any of Geneen Roth's books, but if you struggle with emotional eating, she is fantastic. "When Food is Love" and "Women, Food and God" are my favorites. She always says, for every "diet" (ie, trying too hard to restrict", there's an equal and opposite binge.

thank you kirbydog♥♥♥-we guess you do have a good point considering the alternatives and we didnt eat sugar so thats a plus. we ended up eating biscuits and gravy which we had been craving for some odd reason. just dreading the possibility of having to detox completely all over again. do you know where we can get those books by any chance? and yes we are definitely being very hard on ourselves

The books are widely available, amazon or possibly your local library may have them. She is wonderful, very real and honest. She also has a website and facebook page (I think it's www.geneenroth.com). Sending you a hug. Can totally understand biscuits and gravy, total comfort food! And, today is a new day! Are you detoxing from gluten?
