Does it make it unsafe if I say I have horrible cramps and I'm getting chest pains from anxiety about my case that I'm working on?

Oh, and Zoe has a scratch on her cornea and is FREAKING out about the eye drops. I called the vet to try to get some Valium for her, but he won't call me back. I have a huge bruise and scratches on my arm from where she kicked me last night when I was trying to get the drops in. Did you guys know that dogs can kick really hard? Hard enough to leave a big bruise? I didn't know that.

My Sadie bruises me up all the time...she's rambunctious. You can try giving her some benadryl MKAC, sometimes that calms them right down. It's 1 mg per pound, but make sure it's the regular Benadryl and not the non-drowsy. (Non drowsy can be toxic) I give lex 50mg and she's only about 44lbs, so there's some wiggle room.

It's official, my anxiety is intolerable right now. I am climbing the walls.

Don't get yourself worked up over something that hasn't occurred. If it weren't for Red Tape, doctors and insurance companies wouldn't have a reason for all those office personnel... Breathe.

Poor Zoe. I scratched my corneas (both eyes at the same time) - it is very, very painful. Did they give her any pain meds or does the eye stuff sort of numb it?

And I am fairly certain cool whip is a petroleum product.
Thanks for this!

thanks lola and granite. Sorry I melted down a bit. Hanging on by a thread over here.

Crab...I used to take the kids crabbing all the time when they were younger. There is an inlet here that is called Crab Creek. You tie a raw chicken wing to a string and lower it into the water. About 5-15 crabs will grab onto it and you pull it up. Mostly blue crab. We would do them on the grill. Nice memory.

She has pain meds, and Wikid, thanks for the benadryl suggestion. The vet did tell me to give her that in case there is an allergic component to this. I gave her the pain medicine and the benadryl and then waited about 40 minutes for those to kick in before doing the drops. She was a little better about the drops this morning.

And MKAC - I am sorry to hear about your stress over case too (how like me to focus on dog more than human.-sorry)(glad to hear zoe has pain meds - it is really really painful).

WP - I am sorry it is so stressful - one would think that a program such as the one you are going to might be slightly more cognizant of the anxiety of their participants.
Thanks for this!

cool whip has Polysorbate 60 in it...that's a major ingredient in some sexual lubricants.

LOL...so we know why there is that off-label use of it.

Cool Whip...yummy sex lube and hemorrhoid cream:

Water
It's the main ingredient. But like any whipped product, Cool Whip contains a high percentage of air. At 41 cents per ounce, you're buying mostly water and air for just over twice what it would cost to whip real cream yourself.
Natural and Artificial Flavorings
Cool Whip doesn't really taste like much, but Kraft's recipe for blandness is a trade secret. That means the company doesn't have to disclose the specific flavorings.
Corn Syrup and High-Fructose Corn Syrup
Sugar by other names. Corn syrup is mostly glucose. High-fructose corn syrup is corn syrup treated with amylase and other enzymes, which together help convert glucose into fructose. A diet high in fructose is known to make lab mice fatter than other diets, so keep your research animals away from Cool Whip.
Hydrogenated Coconut and Palm Kernel Oil
Cool Whip needs to feel like whipped cream in the mouth without actually being, you know, made with cream. One cheap, reliable way to replicate the texture is by using semi- solidified plant oils. The best method of solidifying plant oils: Bubble high- pressure hydrogen through them. Of course, if not done completely, the result is trans fat. These days, Kraft avoids that.
Polysorbate 60
Polysorbates are made by polymerizing ethylene oxide (a precursor to antifreeze) with a sugar alcohol derivative. The result can be a detergent, an emulsifier, or, in the case of polysorbate 60, a major ingredient in some sexual lubricants.
Sodium Caseinate
Also common in powdered non-dairy creamer, this protein derived from cow milk helps oil and water mix.
Sorbitan Monostearate
Chemists call this stuff synthetic wax, and it's sometimes used as a hemorrhoid cream. It's one of the magical substances that keep Cool Whip from turning to liquid over time in the fridge.
Xanthan and Guar Gums
These are natural thickeners, and together they provide more viscosity than either does alone. Guar also helps retard the formation of ice crystals, another key to preserving fluffiness.

Working on my case in small doses in between coming here, so I don't get overwhelmed. Sorry if I am posting too much and boring people. It is really hard for me to deal with child in need of care and termination of parental rights cases.

Tried crabbing last week. Only caught 3. Really choppy day on the water. 5-15 crabs a line sounds like heaven to me. Don't think it's been like that around here for decades.

Nono, that was a "hello" kind of "good evening"

It's 7:30pm in Sweden, though I'm in Finland at the moment and it's 8:30pm here.

OMFG.

So boss and I went to the provider meeting. We found out that our endorsement application to provide CAP-I/DD services has been denied because "endorsement" is going the way of the dinosaur. Now it's "credentialing" and they can't accept applications right now. The girl I've been dealing with was very careful to say it was no reflection on us as a provider or our application AND no reflection on them as a managing entity. It's controlled by the government.

I internally freaked because my job was supposed to be dependent on that endorsement, but boss said at lunch that my job is not in danger, because he has Plan B (to partner with another agency). Plus, we may be able to piggyback our "credentialing" with our ICF-MR facility.

It was fun to see how many different ways the LME/MCO staff could say "I don't know." Then boss told me afterward he got a text from his wife in the middle of the meeting that his MIL had died.

Now I am listening to our accountant annoy the living hell out of our office manager and administrative assistant. Work is just no fun today...but I got a free lunch and I'm getting paid, so I shouldn't complain too much.

But...GAH!!!

No crab please! A few years ago I found out I'm terrified if crab dip and other creamed crab things. Eeek it gives me anxious shakes.

It appears to be cooler here too, though in still having trouble breathing
