I'm kinda confused too, everybody. I see this thread as a running, all-over-the-place conversation. Many of my posts have never been responded to and I just go on about my business. Most of the time, I do not take it personally. I figure some get lost in the shuffle of the thread, some of you may not like me, some of you don't know what to say, and sometimes there isn't really anything to say.

I don't perceive anyone here to be malicious. We all have our own issues, problems, interests, losses, and victories.

I don't want anyone to leave in a huff. There's no point in it. IB, Granite, Wiki, et al, I want all of you to stay.

Oooh. That is EXACTLY my problem. In my family you DO have to pick a side. Interesting. So I will quit thinking about this thread & start thinking about why I want to smother my entire family with pillows.

I think at times I tend to go thru periods of feeling ignored but I already know that stems from past abandonment issues. But everyone is at a different place. I don't take it personal or if someone does not like me-it's actually none of my business. I really like everyone here. Sometimes it's good to take a step back and look at the big picture. But I want you all to know I like you all and if it was not for this couch-I wouldn't be able to come as much as I do. You are all great in my eyes.

I noticed. I worried about you getting another cat. but that seemed unsupportive to post, and you're an adult, you can figure out your own city ordinances. but it upset me. and that's why I didn't say anything. also the one time I went to sephora the salesperson thought I was a transsexual. that was a little upsetting. so again no comment. it's not always about you. as wiki says, we're complicated. we have more ingredients than cool whip. and shorter shelf life. being obnoxious (like me) is one thing. you can let me just sit in the corner and laugh at my own stupid jokes. being bossy is another. it wants a response. as they say on the price is right, THAT'S TOO MUCH!

When I went to Sephora to get cosmetics for my daughter for Christmas, the salespeople were arguing about who HAD to wait on me. I swear they were doing rock, paper, scissors to see who was forced to come over. The loser scowled at the others and then walked over, gave me this horrible, fake smile and asked if she could help me. I told her I wanted to buy a gift for my daughter, and then she just lit up and was like, 'Oh, GREAT!' Sigh.

MKAC, hankster...

I understand how you feel through my youth. I got barked at in middle and high school in the halls. The memory makes me cringe.

We don't have a Sephora where I live, but we do have an Ulta...seems similar. In the past, people would not help me in stores like that; but since I've gained more confidence in myself, I look salespeople in the eye and that usually gets the person over to help me. Then again, I don't really like salespeople to help me unless I really can't find something. I like to shop on my own.

Mkac-i like mine al dente.

I don't wear make up, thank goodness. Buying it sounds stressful.

It's no consolation and no excuse, but retail is a lousy way to live. And salespeople in snooty stores get put down by customers all the time.

It shouldn't happen to a dog. (No offence, puppies!)

I worked retail for exactly 4 months. Will never do it again unless I'm desperate for money. Worst job ever...for minimum wage.

Is your dog reference in response to my being barked at?

I hear you on the retail front. I had one retail job when I was 17 and it lasted 3 weeks.

Hey y'all, I am sad to see so many people upset. I hope we can all go back to getting along. I love you alla and am very grateful to have found PC. I know sometimes I get my feelings hurt too sometimes, but most of the time I think it's my own unprocessed junk coming forth. I'm going through some rough stuff in T, making me crazier then normal. So if I offended or upset anyone I apologize. I am a very honest person, so If I do something someone sees as hurtful or offensive just tell me. In turn if I think someone is "mad at me" I'll do the same. Love y'all

I'm never around (busy schedule combined with crappy internet), but I want to say how much I appreciate this thread. I hope I don't seem like a stalker that I show up once a week or so but I do enjoy keeping up on what is going on for everyone I don't think this couch is cliquey, I feel connected to a lot of people here.

I'm moving next week. Is it easier to be a vegan in NC than it is in AK? Because it sux here. People think that moose (if it's freshly shot) is vegan. But really, it's not.

My sister works at a brewery and we made bread using spent grain. I strongly urge anyone who makes their own bread and lives near a brewery to get some (usually breweries give it away for free- otherwise they just have to pay to dispose of it). It's the lightest, tastiest bread I've ever made.

My t said she wanted to continue to work with me after I move. I honestly hadn't realized how much I was dreading termination until she said that she would miss me if I wanted to leave her. So, it'll be a few weeks, but once I'm settled in we can pick up where we left off. I am very lucky.

Hugs to everyone in whatever you're going through right now.

Wanting to brag on this wrap that I made for my friend who is defending her doctoral thesis on Tuesday! But I can't post it to fb yet because she'll see it... anyway, I'm so pleased with it, I want to make one for me now!

Thanks TTGB. I've sure been thinking of you a lot and everything you're going through in the past few weeks.

Sally, that wrap is gorgeous. I've been knitting/crocheting for over 10 years now, and I am still just making scarves and fingerless mittens. I have made a buttload of them over the years, though.
