For a few weeks now Ive been experiencing this jittery, on edge, cant relax, quick to assume feeling.
Well, tonight just now thinking about it I realized it is like I am feeling cornered, blocked in by something. Its scary and makes me upset and I dont like it obviously. Its really edgy. the thing is, I dont have a therapist right now until thursday. what do i do now that ive pinned down the feeling? |

Find ways to express it instead of keeping it inside find ways to get it outside. When I feel like this I do alot of different things.
Take a walk ride my bike journalling drawing arts and crafts mold and squish playdough/clay use my relaxation tapes and music take a bath... the list goes on |

Hi,
Sometimes when I have a "trapped" feeling, I try to do things that remind me that I am free, like going for a walk. That's one of the things which can help me the most at a time like that. Another thing which helps a lot is writing in a journal, writing about my thoughts and feelings and getting them out on paper. Another thing that can help me is coloring, or even just scribbling on paper back and forth - or tearing up scratch paper. Sometimes getting energy out in those safe ways helps me.
