My mom has done that with my twin brother.. My first car was my granfather's car- I got it after he passed away. My second car, my mom bought for me at a garage sale, lol.. it was right when my H and I were getting married it blew me away.. H and I used that the first couple of years we were married.

Yup.. you would never know it. We are polar opposites, and aren't very close at all. We were close when we were really young, but when we got older he migrated towards our older brother.. So, I really don't feel any kind of special connection with him as my twin.

Man, I cant imagine what its like to have help buying your first car. I'm 21 and I know that my mom will never be able to help me buy my first car, unless she miraculously comes up with enough money to pay the bills and pay off her credit cards etc. I'm left on my own- just one of many reasons why I'm still not driving :P

My parents only bought the tires and had the brakes fixed on my first car. I was responsible for everything else. I think my dad changed out the lights for me too. I was sooooo careful the first six months of driving because I had put a lot of hard earned money into that thing. I cried when it was totalled in an accident about 8 years later....

Carmex works wonders but it smells kinda medicney - at least the original one does. Burts Bees works great too.

So I got a half-assed apology and a back-handed slap in the face (figuratively) from someone at work. I am not going to let this person drag me down.

Going to go for a walk to the library and return a book. It's brisk outside, but I feel the need to move around.

My first car...

A 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger, white with a black vinyl top. Paid $800 for it in 1981. I loved that car, worked my butt of for it.

My daughter (15 next month) shows no interest in driving. Strange.

I have read that as a group, young people are less interested in driving than in past generations.
Mind boggling to me as car meant freedom to me.

Daugther who has been sick woke coughing.. Sounds like she has croup, I think the coughing fit freaked her out b/c she woke up screaming, and kicking. I got her calmed down, brought her downstairs... and now she has taken over my bed. So, it is me and my couch tonight. Hopefully, she would have anymore coughing fits tonight.

I guess kids these days have the internet and don't need to leave the house to find entertainment.

lol, this has got to be true.. I didn't have fb, twitter, instagram, etc.. So, I got bored... I had to leave my home to be with my friends. It is so weird to me to think about not being excited about driving around 15 or 16.. Weird.
