Granite...ask the pharmacist about traz and melatonin. I used to take both while I was going off the traz. I took 100 mg of traz for 5 yrs. Sorry about your son leaving, that sux. It is good that you had a nice time with him though.

Ambein and Lunesta have a very short half life. They knock you out but don't keep you sleeping.

No beach walk this morning...my girls are glaring at me. So spoiled.

((( YAWN )))

I am so dang tired....I have to stop falling asleep so late...I cannot function well on 2-3 hours sleep. And I woke up with the start of a sore throat, which is not good at all. My neighbor's daughter is sick - started with a sore throat and progressed to vomiting. My sister had a sore throat the other day and other symptoms. I am hoping it's just caused from the dryness in my house - but maybe I'm just in denial.

I have to be back at work today for a few hours. That's not a bad thing cuz maybe it will be a halfway decent paycheck this week for working 2-1/2 days rather than 1 day with unemployment. Of course, anything after 2 hours of work gets deducted from unemployment until it hits the cap which is only enough to pay 1/4 of my mortgage. *sigh*

On the job front, we might be moving forward with a couple of big projects which means MAYBE...just MAYBE....I will get a full time job there after all. That's still to be determined....(keeping my fingers crossed)...

Hope everyone has a great day!

(((( granite ))))

I know it's hard having your son leave....I feel so awful every time my stepson, his wife and my granddaughter go home, especially knowing it will be quite a while before I see them again. (( HUGS ))

No coffee today, but I have made a sage infusion (not calling it tea, Apt). It will sooth sore throats and warm the soul. Drink up peeps, it's good for you.

I second this. You can count me as another person who took trazodone, and it was the only thing that actually helped me sleep through the night, but it gave me a horrible, horrible migraine the next day. I faintly recall, though, that pdoc didn't have a problem with trazodone and melatonin at the same time. Sorry things are rough, Granite

Wow, a lot of people have tried or are on Trazadone.. my gp rx for me this past summer, but I have yet to take it. My sleep has been a lot better w/o taking it.

Good morning.. First day of Thanksgiving break! I have nothing planned other than T appointment at 4pm.

AAARGH!!!!!! I am SO annoyed with my mom.

So, I asked her to make/bring stuff for Thanksgiving - after listing all the stuff my sister and I are making. She agreed.

Well, she sends me a text from the grocery store asking if I needed this and that so she can pick it up for me....stuff that SHE is supposed to be bringing/making!....Umm, mom....YOU are making it. YOU are buying it. YOU are paying for it.

AAAARGH!!!!!!!! I texted her back saying - you are making these things right? So, I don't need any. Thanks.

OMG. I wanna scream.

I think my daughter is actually cleaner than I. I just moved out to the great room and she has already vacuumed and dusted. It sparkles in here. She also put some leaves, pine cones and twinkle lights on the mantel.

Morning all.
I love all the new decor. Wiki - I may have to use your pic as part of my guided imagery for t. It is so calming.

I forgot to buy evaporated milk to make the pumpkin pie. What exactly is evaporated milk anyway? Milk with some of the water removed? Anyway I have to get that on the way to work. I've resigned myself to being late today, which might be okay. We had horrible fog here last night. Took me almost 40 minutes to get home on my usual 20 minute route.

Hope everyone has a good day.

yup sconnie...just simmer whole milk until it's reduced a little more than half. Make sure you stir and have a thick bottomed sauce pan though.

(I won't use canned anything)

When you read something somewhere and your initial reaction is "Oh, so and so is being so selfish" And you can't be empathic to their situation because of your initial reaction-Does that make me an uncaring mean person?

Just to note: This has nothing to do with anything that I read on the couch. I'm just asking..

Thanks. often when I have that reaction I just can't bring myself to see the situation in another light and just throw my hands up.

I have that reaction pretty often, and have been working on tempering it. My T says that I cannot expect everyone to react to things with the same level of generosity or compassion. I do have a pretty big negative reaction to selfishness.
