I was actually chuckling when I saw Chopins picture and immediately thought wet t-shirt contest as well.
As long as you keep it out of the library then Stopdog won't have to intervene. LOL

If I power washed my house today, the water would freeze as it came out of the hose. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow.

Was it a self portrait? Either way, I love it! It's a really great capture!

do you understand the thinking that ' something is safe until is isn't ... something is good until it's not' ? my therapist said something like that to me.

i don't get it.

I think maybe its referring to the mindset of things are safe and good until they prove not to be (or you get a vibe they are not) instead of assuming things are unsafe and bad until they prove to be safe and good.

hi all

Most of the Christmas songs you have mentioned are completely unknown to me, not unexpectedly My hands-down favourite is O Holy Night. It has to be in Swedish, and sung by Jussi Björling:

This recording makes me cry.

I won't go into the whole Advent songs and Lucia songs thing, because it's just forrin Suffice it to say that I'll be traipsing around in a white gown tomorrow, carrying a candle.

And it is -18°C out. Goodnight!

RR-
To me that says to be open to something until it proves to be unsafe or bad. Kind of the "innocent until proven guilty" type thing. Definitely easier said than done sometimes. And obviously there are times where you need to be very careful or suspicious of situations.

Apt-
I was watching a European Travel show here and they did a whole segment at Lucia and the songs. It was quite interesting.

Apt...I heard of celebrating St Lucia's day when my neices were young and played with American Girl dolls. There was one named Kirsten Larson who was supposed to be from 1854 who had immigrated to United States from Ryd, Sweden and in it one of the books they show her in her white gown with a wreath on her head... Its alway fun and interesting no matter how old you are to learn of other culture's traditions..

I'm scared that tomorrow I'll find out T is not ok (and that's why I've heard nothing back when she would normally reply) ...otherwise...I find out the relationship is really not okay. It was already really not okay, but I guess this would make it really, really not ok. No idea how I get through all my stuff before Christmas break because so much has happened between us. There's not enough time

Getting ready to head out to a Christmas party. I totally don't feel like going...not at all. I still have a lingering migraine. My neck is killing me. And I am SO depressed that the idea of being around people and putting on a fake happy face just SUX. *sigh*

The check to my T has been written and mailed. I miss him already.
