SConnie - glad it was good news.

I liked the Hobbit book okay, but am afraid I would not like the movie. I don't really like the harry potter movies for example. But I did enjoy the books. I am really not much of a movie watcher.
Thanks for this!

I am thinking if I show up to the Christmas program on Sunday drunk, I won't remember how bad it was.

I'm looking forward to the Hobbit. Won't be going for a while though, can't imagine braving the crowds so will wait a week or so. Am planning to go see Lincoln by myself after work tomorrow night. Looking forward to it as it has gotten so many nominations and such great reviews.

Good job going to T, MUE. I know how hard it is sometimes. Getting to laugh is always a good thing too.

Glad to hear you had good results sconnie!

Morning all. I'm not a moviegoing kind of person at all really, and I went to see Hobbit because of the people I was going with. The fanatics had already been and the crowds weren't that bad - the cinema wasn't even full and I admit that surprised me a little.
The Hobbit - the book - is of course a children's book unlike Lord of the Rings, but the Hobbit movie is NOT a children's movie. At all.

Good morning, Apt! Thanks for the heads-up about the Hobbit. It won't be on my list to see with my 11 year old, LOL. Actually, I rarely do movies too...and we don't have cable. So I lead a sheltered life when it comes to knowing what's going on in the world. LOL

I'm usually very active on my group T blog, but I've been feeling quite disconnected lately (as you can tell). A couple people posted a comment to me, and I responded to them briefly - and shared that I was feeling disconnected from group and life, that I was struggling and not thinking clearly. But that I hoped I would muster up the courage soon to re-engage. I typically don't post that kind of message - but I didn't want to leave people hanging. People generally look to me to be very responsive - and I'm just not into it right now.

Several of the guys in the group posted after me and didn't reference my post or me at all. I didn't realize how irritated I would feel about that - like it reinforces the idea that I'm only valuable if I GIVE to them. They are willing to take, take, take - and want me to be around for their gain (which they've said to me - one said that he prefers that I attend group even if I have a migraine, he wants me there) - otherwise, I'm invisible. It just screams a bit selfish to me.

And I frikkin pay for this. Money that I DON'T have. ACK!

Good morning all. I'm still trying to catch up on what went on yesterday, but I did see your post Sconnie. That is great news!

MUE - I'm sorry that people aren't being responsive to you.
