Loordy, Lourdy the COUCH is 40....

My first eventually learned NOT to chase the horses, but only after I convinced her to chase the cattle off of the horses while they ate instead. The current baby is learning the hard way, as the horses spin and chase her and attempt to stomp on her. She thought this was really funny until the first time the racing bred Paint mare actually caught her. So far, it hasn't taught her much.

Um, I think it's different, for me anyway. The dog never complained repeatedly about the same thing over and over and dismissed all opinions and other options. In fact, the first dog was horribly abused before I took her from her owners. She was violent and very aggressive with any human outside of our family. I took her to a special training class where the first thing we did was try to convince her I was as smart as her and she could rely on my judgment as to whether something was or was not a threat. She was living in fear and lashing out at any person who reminded her of her abusers. But, she was actually open to learning and listening to me and to the trainer, and to letting go of her fear. Despite her fears, the abuse, and the fact that she has a lower IQ than some humans, she knew enough to know that she didn't have to stay stuck in the same emotional place forever.

My last herding breed never chased the horses (always wanted to chase the sheep). My fantastic first pony was boss of the paddock and decided to tell him that dogs should not be allowed to walk around her paddock looking so happy and carefree.

Current dog thinks horses are perfectly safe as long as you run up behind them to bark. He also tries to help whenever I try to move the other horses away. His ridiculously big booming bark echos rather loudly too. I'm sure the neighboring farms know when we're there!

Well, the like button now only appears when my cursor is on the screen (not when its on the scroll bar) and the LIKE count is gone.

I still wonder where the share button went to.

Long day. Found a new pair of Vegan Earth shoes for $30. Deal of the century.
Who remembers Earth shoes from the 70's? I wish I could find a vintage pair of the ones I wore back then, but these will do for now.

They are holding off on the share button for now.... there is a thread or 2 about it in the tech section..... I love vintage anything, well except food and stuff.

I only have the "like" button on some posts but not others.

I don't think I'd stick around if there was a share button here. Yuck.

PC is broke, we all have to share the button, so you won't see it all the time. Sorry.

Really, you would leave this mecca of support over a button ??? I have read a few who said that today.... its a flippin button, who cares?

It just makes it seem so yucky. It is an open forum, but the idea of someone being able to click a share button. Just ugh.

I loved my earth shoes.

I dogsat a giant breed 11 month old puppy a couple of weeks ago. He's a 90 pound Great Pyrenees/Swiss mountain dog mix and he's still growing. I got a lot of attention when he took me for walks.

I had a good T session today. Had a bit of a breakthrough. I've been trying my whole life to be a Good Daughter, but T told me today that, in my family, being a Good Daughter means putting my own needs last. And that failing to be a Good Daughter (as defined by my family) does not mean I'm not a Good Person. Sometimes, T hits it out of the park.

Budget cut backs, we have to share the button... so it won't always be available... true story

A share button seems to be more of an invitation to easily hit a button and share it with whoever. I don't want my stuff to be posted along with an invitation to easily share it with whoever. Anyway, I won't panic just yet! I just don't like the idea at all.

OMG..... maybe we can have them change share to PANIC that will make Pbutton's millineum!

I just realised...it's the first day of autumn! That means no more summer...not for ages and ages and I have to get through a winter before making it back. Horrible! Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Vintage shoes are weird though, because everyone's feet are different, and when they are worn in by someone else shoes are not comfortable. Converse seem to wear in universally though...lol. Vintage converse are hot right now, a pair similar to the ones I have went for $800 on ebay. Makes me think twice about wearing mine. (not really, you only live once!)

In my last session, T mentioned that it cost her 80 cents for each of the two texts she sent me while she was overseas. She said it in a way like, you were worth it, I was willing to do that for you, even though it was 80 cents a text.

I wonder, am I completely abnormal for feeling immediately awful when she said that? Would anyone else have been flattered or just felt good about that? It's pretty minor compared to all the other huge things that have happened between us. Maybe the normal response would have been to just feel fine about being told that?

I would have immediately given her 2.00 and said keep the change, I would have felt awful.

That was how I felt. I wanted to give her the money and ...well...ouch. She didn't want me to give her money for it and I think that would have come across worse. That wasn't her point at all. My response (telling her it made me feel awful) made her get into the "I can't win" speech which didn't help either...after all that really has gone wrong.

I'm paying for my sessions from my savings (and I don't have that much) because I'm getting 0 income right now. Nothing. I pay more than $1 per minute...nearly $2 per minute for her help. I don't know. I just didn't understand why money was brought into it...if it really wasn't a big deal. (Was she trying to tell me I'm worth 80 cents to her after four years?)

That sounds really useful. I'd like to hear more about that. Really.
