My favorite book from seventh grade on was Jane Eyre. I read it so many times I wore out the book.

I had started reading Steinbeck then. My first attempt at East of Eden was interesting. I got through it but a lot of it, innocent that I was in those sorts of things, went right over my head. But the term Timshel and its discussion had me riveted.
I never got into the Bronte Sisters. I was way into Faulkner in High School too.

I was also thinking that you may need a hobby for your travels Lola. Knitting and crochet are very portable

Maybe you could combine those hobbies and knit or crochet little bird sweaters. Should be quick.
