wow...ultimate slowness on the sofa today. Glad I didn't hang out like I had planned. Guess what? It only took 2 hours to scrub new house clean! The old house would take 3 easily. I took a nap after I cleaned, then I daydreamed, then I drove 40 min to pick up my niece whom I still pick up and watch even though it now takes 80 min to get her and come home instead of the 20 it took before. I am a good aunty. And I silenced my phone every time my mother called instead of answering. I am a bad daughter. But I made a killer channa dal for dinner. I am a great wife. But that stupid trauma t still hasn't called. I am a putrid client.

Good night all...catch ya on the flip side.

Hey wiki hows things? Wish I had had an aunty like you. I would probably silence my phone too, if my mother rang. Doesn't make you a bad daughter.

Hello couch...
So office hag at work basically threw a tantrum this morning. I had to bite my tongue and not ask if she needed a time out in the naughty chair. I also had to try not a laugh because it was freaking hilarious. I am mean to laugh...she's stressed... but really a tantrum?

So, tonight I thought about my next session with t... and then I remembered her ancient kleenex booger box thing and wondered if I would have to ask her to turn that thing around again. The dang thing even affects my concentration when I am not in t's office! Is asking again kind of like testing my t? If she says no, I will have to stare out the window the whole time or make her switch seats with me in which case I have to see the clock and I don't like looking at the clock.

I actually find the thing funny in other settings. The problem is it is in my peripheral vision when I am talking to t... so I see the thing out of the side of my eye and start to get off track in my head and if t is talking I start giggling in my head... and I know pretty soon it's going to come out as muddled giggling or worse some sort of primal sounding snort as I try to hold back... because inevitably I will be doing all this internal giggling when t is trying to make a serious point. Is that one time I can legitimately shift the blame to t?

I guess the ancient booger kleenex man discussion scared everyone away from the couch.

Oh, sorry! I googled it and got ready for bed. It's on amazon. You gotta - I was gonna say drape something over it or put a pillow on top of it but then I'd worry I was suffocating it. It's too weird!! I bet it brings out a lot of unconscious stuff. "Who do you want to suffocate, hankstrr? Are you feeling angry??"
Thanks for this!

Perhaps I should give the thing a name... oh the fun I could I have with this if I don't want to be productive during a session.

Me: I named your kleenex dispenser.
T: Really? What did you name him.
Me: Bob.
T: Bob?
Me: Yes. Bob.
T: Tell me more about Bob.
Me: What about Bob?

Okay... horrible, horrible I make horrible jokes... I should go to bed.

I am trying to remember if the woman has kleenex where I have seen it or not. I carry a handkerchief for the unlikely event I ever do cry. I don't want to use her kleenex if I can prepare properly.

I am going nutsier not being able to work out. Each week I tell the acupuncturist I am planning on biking, lifting weights, swinging kettle bell - she just rolls her eyes at me and tells me I am still healing. It does not help that every time I try to do any little thing, I end up stopping because it hurts - and not the good hurt. It has now been almost 5 weeks. I feel like such a wimp.

Just come back from T. It was the best session ever. No tension to be felt anywhere. I am so glad I decided to go. Well I had to go, all the **** in my head would have made my head explode.

Interesting - as the little bicycle guy used to say on laugh-in. I also hesitated to take t's kleenex - I even criticized them as being rougher than my puffs - but my nose runs and now it's part of my ritual to take one as soon as I get in. Now that you mention it, it feels symbolic of him taking care of me as he does his other clients and himself. I like being part of that group. But now what does scary ancient booger box man say about sconnies ts feelings about helping her group??

Morning.

Ancient Booger Box Man (ABBM) would distract me as well. My T or xt (whatev's) has a Buddha statue that gets my attention all the time. I think you should stand ABBM up on his end so he's staring directly at t. Maybe even make him dance, or talk to her.
ABBM: (in deep ancient voice) Hey T, what's up?
T: Well, are we going to talk thru Bob today?
ABBM: I just wanted to pop in and tell you that my nose is clogged from these tissues coming out of it.
T: Oh, well that's what your nose is for, to dispense tissues
ABBM: well, I am afraid that I am going to sneeze and blow my tissues all over one of your clients

OK...not good at the joke thing this morning. I'll have to rethink ABBM and T's conversation and post later when I come up with something good.

It's raining, and I need to walk the dogs. Ugh. I hate walking them on rainy days.
