Sterilize a jar or bottle or container with a lid (preferably glass) and dry completely.
Warm up oil...I use Jojoba, but you can use olive oil, or avocado oil or any organic plant based oil.
Do not boil it, just warm it.
Put crushed ginger, muddled lemon grass, bruised orange peel, etc. into your jar. Make sure they are dried with paper towels though...if they have water on them from washing they cause mold.
Pour the oil over the aromatics
Cover and store in SUNLIGHT.
Swish it daily.
After about a week, you have fragrance oil.

You can do so much with the oil. Make room freshener, hand lotion, body oil....so much. But if you want you can just use the oil in a tea light oil heater to fragrance the room.

(don't make too much, because it goes bad quickly...I often add rubbing alcohol to mine to make sprays with water)

Another idea is to get some essential oils and heat them in water in those little candle thingies.
Just the ginger though, I would not do garlic myself. I love to eat it, not so much smell it unless cooking.

I'm baaaaaack! After 3 weeks of helping my daughter with her new baby girl I have returned! Mommy is fine baby is beautiful and healthy and I am exhausted! I forgot how much babies keep you up at night... and in the morning.... and in the afternoon! She is a sweet, good baby though and I just love her!

I wasn't able to keep up while I was gone though. Anyone willing to give me the short version of what happened while i was away?

I missed you all!

Hey I'll give it a shot. The americans paid their taxes. Wiki is bottle-feeding baby squirrels, you gotta go back and find the picture. I'm sure your granddaughter is cute, but can she really compare with a baby squirrel holding a tiny baby bottle?? Congratulations and welcome back!!

Well, I am home from dinner with my mom. She didn't bring up any of her strange religious views, thank goodness. So it went well.

I got my TV and hooked it up. Pictures used to get cut off on my old TV because it wasn't "wide-screen". Now I can read the captions news puts up without any of the words getting cut off. Yay!

T got back in town early and responded to my email from a few days ago (about my worries about my new med). She said over the years she has had many clients on it without adverse effects and that it seemed to work pretty well for them. She said pdoc just had to tell me the "dangerous" side effects (even if they are rare), so I would know to stop taking the med if they happened. I feel a little better about taking it now. I'm sure she will want to talk more about my feelings about it on Tuesday. Hopefully by then I won't be worried about it so much anymore.

Well, I'm off to analyze the assessment results of a reading test I gave today (for a class I am taking (the 3rd of 5) to add reading to my teaching certificate). Don't want to have to do it tomorrow and it needs to me done by Saturday.

I'll try to pop back in later tonight.

Hope everyone had a good day and has a relaxing and restful night.

Trying to make some decisions... I think I'm being very logical about it but for some reason I don't trust my own decisions anymore.

Its the one serious negative side effect of therapy!

I was the only person at my work place that brought their lacrosse stick today. No slashing penalties, or even unnecessary roughness: I was on my best behavior.

Does anyone else think that since starting therapy that they are spending too much time thinking about stuff? Maybe its better to just do it...then think about it?
Thanks for this!

Wiki's bottle feeding a baby squirrel huh?? I don't know , that's pretty darn cute...........

I love the movie Slap Shot:

Jim Carr: Hi, Jim Carr again. Denis, I know that some in our audience don't know the finer points of hockey. Could you tell them, for example, what is icing?
Denis Lemieux: Well, um, icing happen when the puck come down, bang you know, before the other guys you know. Nobody there, you know. My arm go comme ça then the game stop then start up.
Jim Carr: I see. What is high-sticking?
Denis Lemieux: High-sticking happen when the guy take the stick, you know, and he go like that
[high-sticks Jim Carr]
Denis Lemieux: you know. You don't do that.
Jim Carr: You don't do that?
Denis Lemieux: Oh no, never, never.
Jim Carr: Why not?
Denis Lemieux: Against the rules. You know, you're stupid when you do that. Just some English pig with no brains, you know.
Jim Carr: Uh, what is slashing?
Denis Lemieux: Slashing is um, like that
[demonstrates on Jim Carr]
Denis Lemieux: you know.
Jim Carr: Mm-hmm. And there's a penalty for that?
Denis Lemieux: Yeah and for the trip also, you know like that
[demonstrates]
Denis Lemieux: . And for hook like this
[demonstrates]
Denis Lemieux: . And for spear, you know, like that.
[demonstrates]
Denis Lemieux: You do that, you go to the box, you know. Two minutes, by yourself, you know and you feel shame, you know. And then you get free.
Thanks for this!
