Started bawling at work trying to put up my photos and a silly little thing my dad got me for my old office. It's the top of one of those desktop fountains and it has horses on it. Just the top, not the whole fountain and one of the horses is missing an ear. But Dad said it was only a quarter and he thought I would like so he got it anyway. Makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Cannot seem to stop sliding off into the pit of despair periodically and it's pissing me off.

I was just thinking yesterday that I missed Apt! So glad to see you back.

Does anyone remember the movie Broadcast News? Holly Hunter played a TV news producer - brilliant at her job, extremely capable. She would break down in wracking sobs in private a couple of times a day. My sister and I refer to them as "Holly Hunter moments." I've been having a lot of them lately. I miss my mom.

Evening, couch. Was lazy and didn't feel like cooking again, so I had a can of Progresso soup tonight and cheez-its. Hopefully I will get in the mood to cook again soon, since canned things are not the best food for you.

Sorry you are still in a bad place., Lola. Hopefully, it will get better soon.

Well, just checking in. I'll pop in and out tonight.

Get to go into work late tomorrow because I see T in the morning. There's things that have happened that I am still uneasy about and want to discuss, so it should be a productive session.

I'd go Lola.... but I already have spaghetti and italian sausage on the stove for dinner tonight. You all could come here if you'd prefer italian though!!

WIKI...... here's a pic (finally! Sorry it took so long) of that old library card catalog my friend turned into a buffet of sorts for me.

Couch 47.0 (we finally debugged)

We still need to paint it black, add knobs to bottom drawers and get the top portion made, but I just love it. I'm not planning on painting the drawers at all so it'll be two toned.

Does anyone k now where I can find drawer pulls like the ones on the card catalog drawers?
Thanks for this!

Hi all.

Big hugs for everyone on the couch. Not been feeling too great myself lately. Stuffing my T around rescheduling, canceling, rescheduling etc. I don't really know what i want anymore.

I'm not in the mood to cook either, but I just sliced up some zucchini, onions and yellow peppers - and they're in the oven, roasting. I think I'll make some veggie enchiladas tonight with enough to have leftovers, since I'm bound to not be interested in cooking tomorrow either. LOL

I got a call from my manager, telling me that a client I interpreted for last week contacted her. She said that he said that I was a good interpreter but complained about one of our policies (that we can't stay in the room unless we're interpreting for a nurse, doctor, etc.).

She told me to keep up the good work....and then said that I'm her new "on call" go-to. As much as I appreciate that, I would much rather have some consistent gigs rather than be the all-so-ever-willing person to drop everything and run at any given second. *sigh*

((( Bipolarartist )))

I hear ya. I keep contemplating canceling my sessions this week (group tomorrow, individual Thursday) because I don't want to be SEEN. After T pulled out a full length mirror on me during my session last week to show me my poor posture, I've totally unraveled....

....I DESPISE being SEEN and would much rather not have that be so apparent. Of course, I need to understand that I'm always seen by others...but that awareness makes me feel sick and wanting to run and hide.

I just had brown rice and black eyed peas with a lot of pepper. And some spinach because I did not have turnip or mustard greens. Quite good.
Thanks for this!

We have several good indian restaurants around here....unfortunately, I don't have anyone to go with me who likes it. I went by myself once - on my birthday nonetheless - but it's hard to get motivated to go when alone.

I do sometimes meet up with some old coworkers to one my lesser fav indian places. Otherwise, frozen indian meals help curb the craving for indian food.

I took an ASL class eons ago. After the course was over, the teacher had a party with students and a bunch of her deaf friends, so we could put our new skills to the test. I signed to a guy that I was pleased to meet him and half the room cracked up. Turns out the signs for "meet" and "f***" are similar and I'd used the wrong one. Oops.
