3 weeks ago I got offered a job abroad, and since then I'm waiting for the workvisa. Knowing it can still get cancelled so not allowing any excitement or enthusiasm. And it's driven me slightly insane. But - in a week I will have an answer. If the answer is yes, I might be on a plane in a week already too. I'm all over the place now. I dunno if it's good or bad anymore.

(((APT))) Yes, our cultures are different. I have never heard of a politician's wife backing a different party. Of course, here, there really are only 2 parties. There are others, but the never get more than 2% of the vote (and I am being generous). The 2 parties hate each other. I never talk politics, anywhere. It's too heated. I am not even registered with a party, so they fight over me every election. I don't vote by party, I vote by candidate.

You go too far, Hankster. Over and over with me, you go too far. You are obviously free to disagree with me, but you distort the facts and then make comparisons that are just insulting and over the top. I did not post where he works; I posted on FACEBOOK. I do not expect my children to agree with me politically and I do not expect to have to agree with them politically, so I was a little surprised by his reaction. I deleted the post but just wondered what others thought.

2. I said that I didnt particularly like your son ONLY to emphasize that I wasnt taking his side because I particularly liked him or his political stance. Apparently subtlety is lost on you. Now THAT'S too far.

3. You're right, I don't have a feel for family ties. With our family it was all business, not personal. And it was all or nothing at all. Maybe you missed my post where my mother said she valued a 2 foot box of sheep manure over me.

Hankster, what's the deal? MKAC's family is not your family. You seem to think her posts about her family are about you. Several people have tried to tell you you're over the top.

Yeah I am over the top. A lot of my posts are. If some of you would venture out of this forum, you would see that. Colorful language is a reason to hate me or harass me? do I have to dumb it down?
