I want to know what that 10 year old girl was thinking, I still want to know why those boys did it. I am not at all pleased with the explanation that bad things happen at random. I have worked with a lot of criminals, Healed, and the whys are very diverse. One guy picked a woman who he thought would not resist. One picked a woman because he "loved" her as soon as he saw her. One picked a woman because he thought she looked at him in a snotty way and he wanted to take her down a peg or two. "Why" is very hard to get to, and usually has more to do with what is happening in the criminals' head and less to do with anything you have done.

I get my script for my antidepressant filled today. How ridiculous to look forward to taking a tablet, but how ridiculous for the hospital registrars for taking off them in the first lace and recommending to GP not to use them.

Hankster - I am glad to hear it went well.

I like to swim, but I have worn glasses my whole life and not being able to see was always awful in pools. I was always accidentally bumping into people. Lane swimming was impossible. I always have wondered if prescription goggles would work.

SD I wear contact lens and swim with goggles and have never had any trouble. In the water anyway. My problem was finding goggles that sealed relatively well. Good luck. I am negatively bouyant so goggles are a must for me.

I have prescription goggles; they do steam up and I don't want to get funny tan lines. I bought some unsteamer at Bivouac camping store but havent tried it yet. But holy cannoli, my eyes are like 20-700 which is legally blind if not correctible; you can't even distinguish shapes? (Seems like we've had this discussion before). Or are your pools that crowded? I am a very slow swimmer so haven't really shared a lane like a regular person.

Prescription goggles work pretty well. You can buy anti-fog spray or do what I do (warning - slightly gross!). I spit into my goggles after I get them acclimated to the temperature of the pool and they never fog. I suspect it's actually the acclimation to the pool temp that makes the difference and not the spit, but licking the inside of the lenses is fun and all the cool swimmers do it.

I am so tired...this cold has really knocked me on my *****... I'm sitting outside the grocery store trying to gather up the energy to go in...between the yawning the watery eyes and blowing my nose...I havent made any progress...

I've been up for 15 hours and i desperately want to sleep

maybe i could just sleep in the car for 1/2 hr then go in.

Can someone please remind me not to engage with self-described narcissists? It's like teaching a pig to sing - it wastes my time and annoys the pig.

I will try to remind you, Critterlady. I feel for you. I've been doing a relatively good job staying off that one, and the ones of people trying to justify BPD behaviors, and/or just wallow in their victim-hood, but I know it's a struggle to stop trying to reach out and break through to the person. I admire that you're trying to help, but you need to take care of you.

Very good point, MKAC! I've bowed out of that one, content in the knowledge that I do have a bit of a clue on the subject and that not everyone has to agree.

So, how about this lovely autumn weather, eh? At least it has been here in the mid-Atlantic region. Pretty, sunny days and nice cool nights. Good sleeping weather, as my grandma used to say.

It has been gorgeous weather here. Camping was amazing! Not too cold to be in a tent, but not so warm that the horses were uncomfortable when we were riding. It was really lovely. We have a gorgeous moon tonight, although I need a coat to be outside. It's 50 right now.

It's freezing here... rainy, cold... they are predicting snow next week. Wisconsin is not supposed to have snow in October
