I have T later today but don't feel very connected to her at all.i think to many breaks these days

I have T later to, Granite. I always feel like a couple hours leading up to the appt that I wNt to cancel, then if I do, I kick myself after. We haven't been working on anything. Just chatting it up. Waste of the 80 bucks. But..I know I would regret canceling.

cant you push yourself a bit to talk about some issue so you don't feel like you are wasting 80$. or are you at a point that maybe not talking about anything painfull is what is needed. i know sometimes dealing with nothing is a good choice

Morning all! I actually rode my bike for 40 minutes last night (only 30 of it was actually exercise, probably), and I signed up for Weight Watchers. My first meeting is Thursday, so obviously I had a donut for breakfast this morning. Because that totally makes sense, right? I have T in an hour and a half so clearly I cannot work now. I am just frittering my morning away.

This weekend was supposed to be our weekend away without the kids, going to pearl jam concert, outlet shopping, etc... But- because of the gov't shutdown, furlough, don't know when H's next check will be.. We had to sell the tickets. and cancelled our trip. Well, mother in law still wants to have the kids sleepover on Saturday. So, H and I will be a whole day and night without the kids and all he wants to do is stay at home and work on house projects. SERIOUSLY! That is not what I want to do with a kid free weekend. I suggested when drive an hour south of us, go for a fancy dinner and maybe stay the night in a hotel. Put- he will have no spending of money this weekend. Just sad..

I cancelled for this week. And might for next week. Then the woman is going to be gone for two weeks. A month break might be a good idea as I have some stuff going on in real life and the woman is total crap with anything going on in the present that I tell her about.

I wish I could post a video here. My niece took a cute video clip of my cat with one of the kittens. My cat was sitting in a box (which he's been doing a lot of lately, watching the kittens in their play area)...and lightly swatted at one of the kitties, hoping he didn't notice. LOL.

Hope the Tuesday T peeps have productive sessions today. I have group T tonight, and I am just not feeling it. Last week, I was SO observant and involved, took risks, etc. I was hoping I'd be able to sustain it, but I'm not so confident that will happen.

Today is my first day in quite some time that I don't have work scheduled. Woo hoo.

I am so disappointed about the kitties. They have fleas. Big time. Which means my house is going to have a flea problem - and my cat is sure to get fleas now. *SIGH* I combed each of them a couple times so far. For the moment, I'm considering bathing them in Dawn and continuing to use the flea comb, vacuuming, cleaning bedding in hot soapy water, etc. - until they are big enough/old enough to be treated. But even then, it's $$$.

I am still struggling with what route to take - shelter, fostering, take them to my vet.....I tried calling the animal welfare office a bunch of times yesterday - and their recording just hung up on me each time. Frustrating! So, I decided to just drive there so I could talk to someone about my options. Bad day to go - cuz Mondays are their vet clinic/shots days, so the place was packed. I turned around and opted to try to go another day. Today would be ideal, but I need a break.

Mixedup-How old are the kittens?/ See if neem oil is safe to use on them. Also low cost vaccination clinic near your home..

I'm not exactly sure how old the kittens are. I was told they were 7 weeks old when I got them, but they seemed way too small to be that old. I guessed about 5 weeks...which means now they are about 6-8 weeks old.

I am able to get low cost vaccinations from the local shelter. It would be $20 for each kitten to get their first vaccines and dewormer. That's not so bad - except that it's for 4 kittens, so it all adds up quickly. I've spent $100 so far in the last week just for food, formula and litter - and as a single mom without full time work, it's scary to be spending so much on them. But I don't want them to go without proper care. The dewormer is also a 3x treatment...every 2 weeks for 3 doses ...each....and that doesn't include an exam, testing them for feline leukemia...and one of them I believe has an umbilical hernia.

I know I need to take care of the flea issue - because that's going to be a nightmare for my entire home and is harmful to the kittens.

I did see that there's a charity program that provides free spay/neutering for all cats and dogs in my town. Woot woot. But then again, if I give up the kittens to the shelter, ALL of their medical expenses would be covered.
