I have had Jury Duty twice before and it is sooooooooo boring.

The first time I was screened for a Civil Trial but didn't get selected. The second time I was supposed to be screened for a Criminal Trial but the defendant plead Guilty right before the selection was supposed to occur.

I hope those things happen for me too. I just don't want to be picked for a jury. Ughh my anxiety is high... and its very clausterphobic to me... (I should learn to spell it since I suffer from it) the idea of not being able to get up and leave whenever I might need to...

I can't sleep...so I'm watching episodes of In Treatment...

It's really nothing to be that anxious about.

You might even see someone you know there, the first time I had Jury Duty I saw a former High School Classmate of mine as well as someone who is in a Fraternal organization with me, the second time I had Jury Duty I saw someone who was in Boy Scouts with me.

BTW usually if there is some downtown (which there usually is) then they will let you leave the room during it for brief periods of time, and last time I had Jury Duty they gave us an Hour and 45 Minutes for lunch so I went to a restaurant nearby to eat.

For some people it is. It may not be the thing that makes you anxious, but for some people, there are reasons why it can be awfully unpleasant.

Also - jury duty and how it is handled by the court system one is in varies greatly from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

I get that its not like I'm the one on trial.... or that there is some form of test or something that I have to do or perform... its not those kinds of things... just a lot of doubts I have about me...and the nutty things that I suffer from... like ptsd and if I have to hear testimony or see evidence or pictures that remind me of other stuff that i'll be too overwhelmed and may dissociate.. or have a panic attack or something... It's not like that happens all the time or anything just that i do alot of avoiding to make sure it happens.. I cant even watch the opening of a CSI episode without feeling that panicky feeling...

Okay its almost 2am here so I'm going to try to get some sleep. I'll just lay in bed and imagine all the things that Paul (from in treatment) would say to me... I love the sound of his voice....

Just came back from seeing the ex and signing the sales contract. I felt so guilty about everything I offered to help pack up the house. I realised I may need to put limits as to the extent of the help. I don't really want the "I can't live without you" speech that has resulted in me returning before. I struggle with offering too much help which results in him thinking I "really do care" and standing too far away and he thinks I don't care, not only for him but also the girls. He knows all the right buttons to push.
I'm off to think up what limits to impose on the packing situation. Any ideas would be more than welcome. Thanks.

Thanks CE good thought. I'll have to think about that one. He appears quite depressed but I know he is capable of putting on an act. I'll just have think of a limit and assess it as it goes along, i suppose. Funny that time wasn't my first thought.
Another thing is they have be out on or before the 23rd December.

OK My plan is to get my ex to get all the packing materials and I will come over for a couple of hours a day to help. Does this sound reasonable to people?

Because I feel guilty as it was my fault that we have to sell the house because of my manic spending, and now I am thinking back to my session toady and the talk about how responsible was I when I was manic.........

Good point CE
Thanks for this!

I've just realised what an idiot I've been. I also said I'd give him $500 to help with moving. Really kicking myself now.
